Got a little story about Karma being a mother.
I don't know if you remember me telling you guys about my daughter, but she got hit by a taxi cab driver who fled the scene. (She's OK, wasn't seriously hurt). She got a picture of the license plate as he was driving away and gave it to the police. They told her that when they found him, she would have to come in and ID him out of a line up.
Fast forward a few days and the police call her and tell her to come to the station. She goes down expecting to ID the guy. They put her in a room and then come in to talk to her. They place a photo of a man on the table and ask her if she knows him. Well yes, she says. That's the guy that hit me.
Then they tell her that the guy was found later that evening, robbed and shot to death in his cab!!!! She of course is completely stunned. But not nearly as stunned as when they asked her where she was between such and such hours. Of course she immediately asks if she's a suspect and they say "Oh no, you're just a person of interest."

Fortunately, she was at home with her roommates all night, one of whom is a police officer. They talked to him and verified it so she is no longer "of interest" to them.
Had the guy simply stayed put when he hit her and talked to the cops like he should have, he probably wouldn't have picked up the fare that killed him.
