Mornin REOvillle, up early again. Hoping for some good new books on Audible today, I'm ready for a good read now that I'm all caught up on Downton. I need to get a "no soliciting" sign for my front door, last evening a guy knocked, no pounded on my front door trying to get me to sign up for satelite TV. I don't like satelite TV, I don't want satelite TV, I like my current carrier and I'm not going to change to satelite. I've had it before and didn't like it, but he didn't want to take no for an answer. Actually the sign I need for my front door should say something like: No Soliciting, I don't want to discuss my religion with strangers, I don't care how many points you need I still don't want any magazines or coupon books, and my carpets/duct work don't need cleaning out, Have a nice day, buhby!
hi jeni, are you looking for ebooks or audio books, and if ebooks what format do you use

Hi Officer Mudflap!! I used to listen to a couple different podcasts, I should look for some that sound interesting. I've been meaning to tell you, I have a cousin who is a police officer in Texas. Can't remember which city, but it is near Lake Jackson, it may be Galveston. He works with a police dog on his force.

Good morning all you technical updated wizards and Reonauts!

I am not quite as advanced with all the nooks, and audible books, and things that have WIFI for laptops on their phones. I also haven't been able to work in over 2 years, and disability is fighting me for eligibility so I live on what I was able to save when I worked. I also didn't have insurance when I had my accident; I was 2 weeks out from starting a new ICU job and thought I didn't "need" it. This will be my 4th surgery in those 2 years, so I am claiming poorness. About the only thing I spend money on is surgery and PV's :D I can write off the PV's as I am not sitting here chain smoking anymore while playing on the interwebs smileychat.gif

I hope everyone has a wonderful day, and stay warm!

If you enjoy reading, you can download free programs from Amazon for Kindle books or Barnes and Noble for Nook books on your computer. I haven't checked Nook in a while, but Amazon has a lot of free books for the Kindle. Your local library may also have e-books available for free. No cost, no trip to the library, WIN! And it is very easy to do.

Good morning everyone. It's DW's birthday today. I got her some more PINK pajamas. Any other good ideas? I am going to pick up her favorite jelly bellies tonight and get some firewood. It's cold in East Texas today.
Pink champagne goes nice with pink pajamas, a fire and a snuggle.
Happy Birthday Mrs. Patrick!

I think one of the best presents I ever got my mom was when I found out that she used to play violin in school as a kid, so I rented her a violin for a week. She had a blast noodling around on it, and after a week was ready for it to go back. Gave her a shot of nostalgia. So, find something that your missus did as a kid, and bring it back to her for a while.

You know, that is a great idea, a friend of ours rented his wife a Mustang Convertable for a week. she drove the kids around in a mini van and had always wanted a Mustang Convertable.
