morning sweet Alice

Morn'n Sonny. Winding down to catch a few winks and pig out on some Chicken Teryaki Rice. One more day of Sissy Dog working me like a dog and then she's off to Memphis and Nashville to visit friends. She was out of town all day till 2100 but left me with enough boxes of old paperwork and files to sort, recycle, or shred I had almost a cubic yard done by the time she came home. She worked a couple more hours pulling stuff out so I sorted and filled two more really big clear bags almost too heavy for her to carry out. A small part of todays shredding fit in her fiat to take to the grade school paper/cardboard recycle bins. That's how I'm judging about a cubic yard because she's going to have to make several trip. So she was going to leave tomorrow but will be here one more day. I was just beginning to get into semi-decent shape and little downtime....... but at least I was able to rest my knees some today sitting but still moving around some so my neck didn't get all funky on me. She'll leave me with a huge list of duties for when she's gone. I may even have the office cleared out so I can get to and use both of the roll top desks, one for office work and he other dedicated to vaping. And also, can finally get the bed and nightstands in there. I'm activating on of my older phones so we can list a s h * t load of really big file cabinets and furniture from one of my large storage lockers on craigs list and she's going to take the calls and meet the people there. Also have a tall four drawer fire proof file cabinet that should bring a few hundred dollars. The thing weighs at least 500 lbs. And two brand new solid wood media Armoires. I'm giving her a more than fair share of the proceeds. Hoping to get a few thousand so I can start my yurt fund. She'll have to make appointments with them and unlock the big gate and deactivate the alarm. Each unit is hooked into an alarm system. DH wrote her a medical note to extend her vacation an extra two weeks medical leave for sprained ankle. She was so happy when she found my walking boot so she can wear it in when she goes to the Greyhound central office. She's thinking about taking a few months leave of abscense because the conditions have been so very bad in Vegas since the administrators turnover. Will probably come here and pick up some dog sitting jobs while she recovers for a few months and get free room and board and help me a lot more with house.

Sleep well when you get there. xoxoxoxo Alice mom

I was watching Criminal Minds this evening and the secondary killer was vaping. It was one of the ecigs that looks like a cig but had a blue lighted tip when he took a hit. :D

Hey Miss Lisa. Nice to see you and Zoomie.

I have those all taped. Was it the most recent epidode? My DVR says "The Gathering" was new last night.

P.S. Oops, questions answered if i had bothered to read on

That is what mine says too.

GOOD MORNING REOvillians! It's almost the weekend, made it through hump day. Woke up again ridiculously early, went to bed ridiculously late. In other words, got only a few hours of sleep again. So will be going back to sleep.

Alice, I kind of feel sorry for the guy who has to live that way. Though not sure if I would want that machete wielding stranger near me either!

Nutz, sorry you are not PPP'ing yet.

And of course,

Cappy and Carol you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I have a 4 pound pork loin basking in one of my marinades, going to serve it with potatoes, carrots and onions. DH had to go to the regular grocery store for it where it was on sale. Did I mention I sent him for broccoli and he came back with cauliflower? At least they are the same family  So I tried the cauliflower "steak" for dinner last night and managed to end the day on target according to the food diary. Had I not been recording in that, I would have eaten the casserole I made for DH (with cauliflower and not broccoli, so it was sort of blah looking, but he didn't really care!) One pot meals are easiest for me these days as long as the prep can be done in short stints. Too long on the knee and it gets cranky. The roast is really easy for me too, I can do the veg prep in advance, then when it is time to roast it all just throw it in the roasting pan. I can get it in the oven, DH can remove it. The only difficult part is making gravy and that can't be delegated.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning everyone!!!!

I'm an emotional mess today. 6 yrs ago at this very moment I was just getting to hospital to deliever one of the most precious children in the world. I was blessed with Dawson Eugene at 10:21pm tonight. At 2 days old, we were informed that our precious baby boy had a heart condition. There were the times when he was in congestive heart failure that we were unsure if he would make it through. I was told he may never walk. My boy proved them all wrong at 21 months and took his first steps.

Dawson has struggle since day one with mouth issues. I look back and realize the fact that he could never use a slow flow nipple on his bottle might of been partly because his heart but mainly because Velopharyngeal inadequacy(the flap in back of his mouth not closing off airflow properly). I found out right before 3 years old what the issue with his speech was. Dawson even though honestly it was/is hard as his mother to understand what he says he has never given up on talking. Last March, Dawson went through the most tramatic surgery yet, he had his whole palette sliced wide open so the doctor could put a hourglass shape of throat tissue across his airway. He wasn't allowed to eat any solid food for 2 weeks. We went to followup to only find out that the stitches had popped open and he had to go back and have it redone. Dawson had 26 days solid of no solid food. I can honestly say that he was stronger then I would of been. Now almost a year later he is making great progress in speech.

As many of you already know, Dawson was having a horrible time in Pre-K(I think partl teachers fault/not on medicine yet). I was not told about any issues until late April when school started trying to separate my baby from his regular peers. This school took over the decision and placed him in a "behavior" class without my permission basically.

I am proud to say once again my boy has been presistent and proved everyone wrong. Tuesday afternoon we had IEP meeting. Dawson is offical classified as a "regular student". The only time he is in that behavior class is 15 minutes for arrival and 15 minutes for dismissal. He is offically doing everything as a Kindergartener.

Wow what this boy has taught his mom in his short 6 yrs.

Do you have those entered on the fitness pal thing? If so, let me know what you are calling them so I can make sure to use the right ones when I eat a head of cabbage for dinner so I can have cookies

Speaking of which... are the cats still alive?

Val, they're called just plain ole chocolate chip cookies::DThe ingredients were changed a little to fit the fitness pal: stevia, Egg beaters, low cal brown sugar, only two thirds of the required amount, half the choc. chips...you should be ok.:D

NOT!!:D

And I told you, I don't emit noxious gases...I'm a lady!!!:D
