lol It only takes minutes a day. Takes up a corner of the living room but kind of a no brainer. Sure gets a body motivated!

Good deal Rog. Did I hear your spring breakup broke up already and you're back to work? If so that wasnt very much downtime!
So a funny thing happened the other day. I had told Teagan months ago that when she was ready she could bring the keyboard that was my mothers upstairs to her room to play & practice. So on Saturday she rearranged her room and brought it up complete with stand and stool. Now she's already playing the violin and has also picked up the guitar. Last year getting her to practice was a challenge, but something has changed and she's been playing on a regular basis. So now that she brings up the keyboard, I help her set it up, clear the memory on it and let her rip. After about an hour she comes to get me to listen to something she had recorded. I was so stunned, I was crying. Never having played before she had incorporated chords, harmony, repetition, and a hint of rhythm. I taught her how to do some scales, which she then figured out how to do other scales by simply changing the notes. She then started playing the pieces shes been working on in orchestra including the one she performed with her violin during the honor roll as a soloist while singing. Ya...that was funny as in amazing, not funny haha. We are a very musically oriented family so I am not surprised, just overwhelmed. I'm being supportive, but taking a different approach than my dad did so she can enjoy the music instead of "having" to do it....and so I know, there will be many more tears shed over the years. Tears of joy.
No, I should have a few weeks left yet. Its been winter-like here since I was laid-off.
Terrible attitude I have: I hope for spring temperatures to get me laid off.
After I'm laid-off, I hope for winter temperatures to keep me laid-off.![]()
Hi Miss Lisa, Place was not "normal" without you around. Glad to see you here.
It's okay, Lisa. I'm like a spot on the wall these days. Everyone is accustomed to seeing me there but nobody has gotten around to scrubbing me off.![]()

so please forgive me. I think I need a nap!
!As you've heard me say before, I just like to keep the conversation lively.Well you certainly bring character to the joint.

Whew! You guys yap so much took me forever to catch up! I had a long day and when I got home a vapor that lives by me was in dire need of some kanthal, so invited him over to wrap a coil. We ended up visiting for a few hours, and I had to share what he did with Scott's doohicky with Scott, leave feedback for something I got on the classies,
AND OPEN AND SHARE MY COOKIES!!!!
We had a few beers while we were visiting, and now after catching up on everything I have already forgotten half of what I read
Glad to hear Cappie and Sis are on the way to visit your niece. Hope you all have a wonderful time visiting, and hope we hear from you soon.
Jack, be careful with that stapler in your pocket...
Kay, thanks for the cookies!! We each had a few and I am not recording ONE thing in my food diary today. I decided it was going to be a free day the minute I sent DH for a smoothie (expecting fruit and yogurt) and he came back with "cookes and cream". It was full of oreos, and it was heaven in a cup. But I think it was 2 days worth of calories. After that, we went out to eat and I had a seafood in cream and sherry sauce, also 2 days worth of calories. Got home to cookies... plus the beer, so I am just writing off today entirely. If I don't record it, it never happened right?
To all of those I forgot, it is the beer and sugar highso please forgive me. I think I need a nap!
