Life's all about cats and dogs, I bet someone important said that once. I'll ask Val to look it up later. A dink means that he's got the whole six-pack but he's missing the plastic thingy that holds 'em together
;)
It was said by RedhatPat on 3/30/2013, linked above:

"Life's all about cats and dogs"

that was easy.

Hail, Reonuts.

Went skydiving with a lady friend this morning. We each planned on three jumps and the first two went beautifully... the third, not so much.

Did a 63 second free-fall, (gorgeous weather, gorgeous view), but just after deploying my drone chute the shock of the main chute filling dislodged my Reo Koa from my shirt pocket. It made an unplanned free-fall of over 3,000 feet and landed on the hood of the only car parked near the side of the landing zone.

I wonder how good Rob is at reconstructing splinters and dust?

Jack

Note to self: REO's do not like skydiving, best to leave them on the ground.

ETA: I wonder how the metal would hold up?

The members of another message board I frequent, metafilter, have a practice of showing a respectful silence with a post only containing a period. In that vein,

You do remember saying that you were hoping the inspector would find problems like these because YOU didn't want the house? Are you being objective or just settling now that things are in the works and there may be a bit of excitement over it? Remember, this is a HUGE investment.

DW is as headstrong as peeps can get, inspectors report didn't sway her 'cept shes now looking for a better price. If seller doesn't agree then I'm hoping I'll be off the hook. I think DW was expecting to pay < $30k for any renovation/remodeling. If seller agrees to cut price then I'll hire an architect to get a better estimate of work. Remember that room w/ the metal roof? The whole thing gotta come down and rebuilt, DW was hoping only to change the roof. Thats probably the biggest expenditure among a slew of others.

I gave these two Woodchucks seen HERE (2 left in the back) to a newbie couple 6 months ago because they wanted to try a bottomfeeder and didn't have REO $$. I haven't heard from them since then but today in the mail I got a RBA from them. They didn't like the hassle and thought I'd would like it.....IT'S A CHALICE!!!!

Anyway, for an hour so far its been great but not special. Unless Im overly impressed by monday I'll make a deal with someone here for Rob's upcoming RBA. If I do trade I'll send it to them immediately to verify it is in fact a Chalice...

...Not incredibally affectionate but very loyal. Simba has some of the same traits but he's a big sap. Very protective of Gatlin tho even tho he doesn't really like kids...

Dogs protecting family members is an amazing thing to witness. The ex and I had quadruplets 25 years ago. We were very worried about one of our dogs. A 100lb husky/malamute who had obviously been mistreated by a previous male owner. Very intimidating dog due to her piercing blue eyes and size. A beautiful animal. When our kids were born we were afraid we might have to find another home for her.

But she insisted on camping nightly under their cribs and would not budge while on "watch duty". Anyone who came to visit had to pass her inspection and get approval. I miss her.

OMG. A GoPro camera on his helmet vaping a REO in freefall. DUDE, JACK, you gotta do this!

Are you out of your damn mind... me, skydive!!! I can't even fly anymore 'cause the turbulence breaks my back. Besides, I'm afraid of heights... I'm not even comfortable being as tall as I am.

(Figured I'd just give Darrel something to scream and complain about. Those Canadians are too polite and need to be shaken up every once in a while just to get the blood flowing.)
