Morning sweet Kay. Yes out of the 12 commercial accounts I had, I lost 3. Funny thing, everyone else sent me stipends because of the blizzard, but i lost 3 who are managed by the same property manager. I didnt really get along with her so I think she just used the blizzard as an excuse to get someone who would be firmly attached to her ...! It will hurt my bottom dollar but next Spring I will replace them. All contracts have already been signed for this year grrrrr! Wish I had known they were gonna do that to me but...

Ed, in the long run, her loss is going to be your gain cuz I'm sure word-of-mouth will bring you more contracts than you can handle.
She sounds like a b@@ch, the next one will be a doll!

Aw George-Dave...you're gonna pass it with flying colors, your a tuff ole bear of a man!
( albeit teddybear!)

Thanks, I've been told by my lavender friends that I'd make a great bear. I take it as a compliment.

I'm sure I'll be ok, I just believe in contingencies and wanted to make my feelings known just in case. The missus will be getting an earful of syrup today before work too.

Well that sounds scary but not as scary as it would have been had you gone into this test after consuming 20k analogs so I feel optimistic for you somehow, good luck bro

You know, my family doctor told me that switching to e-cigs a year before my heart attack probably saved my life by giving my body time enough to recover from 30-odd years of smoking so it was strong enough to withstand the attack. I consider myself living on bonus time as it is, and not smoking keeps the bonus clock running.

Morning, REOnauts!

Today's fact! Bubble Wrap was originally intended to be wallpaper!

So, I have to do a stress test with my cardiologist this afternoon. I'm a little freaked out by it, I've been told that every once and a while people die during stress tests. I have no doubt that I'll survive the ordeal (and won't enjoy it one bit) but on the outside chance that I don't, I just wanna say that the REOnauts are the salt of the earth and that interacting with you all has been just as pleasurable and rewarding as vaping on a REO itself.

OMG, you crack me up! Geesh dude, relax. Are you that out of shape you can't walk a little while on a treadmill? For heaven's sake, the only people who die are so bad off they can't walk a flight of stairs and were one foot in the grave already. Seriously, that is some funny stuff me reading that you think it is gonna kill you!

But should you not return, we will miss you...

We know how hard and diligent you work, so I can only think that the accounts that left you are going to be unhappy when they realize you went above and beyond. And guess what? You will have the option of taking them back or not, because as hard as you work, you may not want to have that many next year anyway!

Thank you Val. And you're right it probably is a blessing in disguise. My other accounts are already saying, "the heck with them". And my salt supplier actually wanted to call and tell her off lol. No point tho, its already a done deal. Onward...

Dave, seriously. If your cardiologist felt you were not a candidate for a conventional stress test, he would have us do something else. We have done chemical ones on bedridden people. Believe me, there is nothing worse than a patient crumping on us. YOU CAN DO IT!! And your doctor thinks so too.

But I still got 2nd dibs on your vaping gear right? :D

(Us and we pertains to when I was actually able to walk and do things like CPR to save all those patients we crumped with stress tests )

My cardiologist has threatened to repossess the stent he put in my heart before, I'm not his favorite patient. He may be making me do this for his own amusement.

I walk a treadmill a few times a week and keep an eye on the heart monitor while I'm doing it - the best I've managed so far is 120bpm, so yeah, the 150 has me a little worried. I have crap knees, so running's pretty much out of the question. No matter what, it won't be a fun afternoon.

Oooh! Lingo! Please tell me what 'crump' is!

crump

A slang medical term indicating that a patient's medical condition is rapidly worsening. See also: circling the drain.
I gotta run to room 3815--my patient is starting to crump!

That patient with the stroke is crumping--we better call the family!

Urban Dictionary: crump

Trying to die is my personal definition.

ETA: but it might be interesting if you say something like "what if I crump" to the doctor / nurse / treadmill tech.

A day where you learn something new is a day of growth, thanks! I'll be sure to work it into the conversation :)

I'd love to be a fly on that wall :D

Half of me wonders if they are going to know the term in a clinic setting, the other half is wondering if they will even blink or if they will just answer you and not even think it strange a patient using that term. I don't think I have ever heard a patient use it, not even once. But we all do. I prefer it over "circling the drain", though I have used that term when everything we have tried fails. But not in front of family, only to other staff.
