The first cigarette I ever had was aboard Air Force One. They gave away free packs with a card inside the cellophane with the Presidential Seal that said 'Welcome Aboard Air Force One, (or Two, depending on what aircraft you were on).

They also made great trading material or cheap trinkets for accommodating young ladies.

At they end of a mission we simply took all the cartons, (every popular brand), out of the galley. Who the hell was going to stop us... we were the Poleece. (Abuse of power is a wonderful thing!)

Jack

Hear you there, spent time as a supply sergeant in a unit full of senior NCO's/officers (battalion headquarters detachment) and you make friends easier in certain positions ;)

Just to confuse you further Jack, Todd lives in Fife (a county in Scotland - where my parents retired) and so he has a different accent to me entirely - as you will see a week on Saturday! hehe

T

If you bring tea and crumpets I'm going to pummel you about the head and shoulders. (And you better have your green card with you or I'm calling INS. Wait, forget that, you live in Texas... we don't consider it part of the United States.)

Quick drop in. Just had to post a picture from just a few minutes ago.

So you really are coming???!!!!!! WONDERFUL!!!!!! Is HRH coming, too? If she's totally uninterested in REOs and vaping there's plenty of other things to do and enjoy.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

Been in my camo pants, steel toed boots, turtleneck, safari vest since early this morning. It was chilly and had an appointment with
Ernesto at 1030 to walk the unwildest part of property, what I used to call the civilized part, until past year. He was running late and didn't have my cell number, only number to reach me now. Anyway he came at 1300 and left 1500. They can't start work till over a week. Kaypers gets to see it in all its wildest glory.

So DH is taking early flight home tomorrow, late afternoon instead of night so he can get a little sleep before leaving 0400 Sat morning. When he's out of town his days start at 0600 and he's not a youngster any more. So I had to cancel the appointment for 3-5 arrival, tomorrow afternoon, for work on downstairs AC unit. Luckily someone cancelled this afternoon so spent rest of afternoon waiting for guy. He arrived a little while ago... They never follow my directions to the house and hardly ever call me when they are driving in so he was at a neighbors house. At same time Escapee Feisty Rosie was refusing to come back in so I could lock her out front with others so as not to intimidate service guy as much. (Good news is it may not cost me several thousand right now to fix. We are at $500 right now.)

So, stressed and hoping he wouldn't drive away further or run over Feisty Rosie I rushed out the door only to have to do acrobatics to avoid stepping on this guy. Our resident Ratsnake has gotten larger. I would estimate he is now about 8 ft. We usually have at least one take up residence in converted garage every summer. They are nasty when cornered but nonvenomous. And yes they will bite readily. I just don't mess with them. They love eating rats, hence the name Ratsnake.

Lots of work needed still on pool and so anxious to get out there with skimpy clothes on, espicially with temps around 70 and sunny but have to stay covered when workmen come around.

Years back, when our dentist lived in one of the houses we got a frantic call from his wife. They had live traps out to catch coyotes that were eating their guinea fowl and cats and harassing their Heelers and horse. They baited the traps with pretty good sized live chickens, juvies. Ratsnake had easily gotten into cage but swallowed chicken whole and couldn't get out. We, of course, freed it and gave her as much info as we could to let her know the difference between our Rattlesnakes, Copperheads, and Ratsnakes, and others. It was pretty amazing how huge the bump in snake was.

Last year first snake I almost stepped on was a smaller Ratsnake, right outside the front door in courtyard. I had to rescue it from the Heeler girls.

Among several things that make them tolerable is that they eat lots of destructive almost GIANT Woods Rats, they are non venomous, and they are skinny and not humongous fat like Rattlesnakes. But they, for the most part are fearless. I had one trap me on property. It was coiled up right where we open the last gate to get out. And he wouldn't move. I couldn't find a limb long enough to pester him so had to come back to house to get long snake catcher. By the time I got back he was

Pretty good - been a fairly quiet week at work and that's unusual with the end of the month looming - but my end of the deal is doing ok and slightly ahead of the curve just now!

Got those - are they bridgeless cartos? RHP and summer recommended - they are ok - but holy hell they burn hot when i give them a working over. No sign of what i am waiting for ofc - but that's the mail for you :/
