Hi Loren, I'm watching the game this morning as I had people over last night for spaghetti dinner. My vote's for the Red Sox to win the World series, based on last night's game.
And who said David Ortiz couldn't run well anymore?! He flew around all those bases and then did a very fancy energetic dive at home plate! The Cardinals manager is gonna feel like an idiot when he watches the replay of that non-catch at second base with all the vehement arguing he was doing about the play

My wife, who is from Boston, is ecstatic! I'm not into sports, so I listened to her hoot and holler from the other room.
I spent half my younger life in Randolph, still have a SIL and nephews there. I loved Revere Beach and the amusement park...tho can't remember the name of it...hey, it was a long time ago...a long long time ago

My wife is technically from Winthrop, close to Revere. It's a very nice area.

I took my daughter to Mass. for a visit a lot of years back, and a "walk down memory lane", went to Paragon Park to ride all the rides, especially the roller coaster. My heart dropped into my stomach and even lower when I saw that the whole thing was gone except for the carousel..which they'd made into a "monument'. And no fresh fried clams! It was like my lovely memories of such good times was destroyed.
Damn...I'm already behind in my plans for the day...really gotta go now....
My wife was born in 1980, and Paragon Park apparently closed in 84, so she had never heard of it.
We used to have a local amusement park here in Canton, Ohio, that closed in 74.

My family has always been big on the Texas State Fair. I went almost every year, driving hours to get there some years. When I finally moved to Dallas and it was just a few miles away, I quit going.
