Morning Reoville. Well will be a busy weekend. Kiddo's have tomorrow off of school. Up here all the local schools close for opening day of deer season. Even the Hubby's work closes for opening day. Guess they all just figure no one will show anyways. Funny though neither myself or Hubby hunts anymore. Would not be able to stand the cold anymore! But there is plenty to try to get caught up on around here so the day won't be wasted. Well the verdict is in. I LOVE the eckowool. I will not be going back to the cotton wicking. I love the fact that I can not burn it up. Well at least not now that I have the hot leg problem corrected. I think the flavor is so much better. I always seemed to get that burnt hit with my cotton regardless how much I thought I squonked. So from now on I will be using the eckowool. Well gonna be a busy weekend so probably won't get back on here over the weekend so everyone have a great one! Gonna have to make a call to j-wraps to see where my VV Grand is. They said they would only have it a few days to get measurements to make the wraps for the VV's and it has been two weeks. Starting to get nervous!

I think I actually learned it in 7th grade Latin. As I said before, they just don't seem to use Latin as much as they used to? Except in my profession of course!

I didn't know you were a priest Val ;)

Master of Bassets...and not much else.

ETA: I should really read on a few posts before jumping in...then again, great minds and all ;)

I personally hope that the ECF gods do bless us all with speed and great vape. I am a one day old reonaut just born. I got a well loved 2.0 18490 with a modded era atty. I am truly in love.

There is your pic val. And the devil assumption is based on the social dynamic of most people who say something one one side of an extreme often are partial to the opposite side of the extreme. If it make you feel better I am an "angel" as well ;)

Good morning, REOvil!
Day two of below freezing. I've been searching for a way to heat the house without central heat/air. Thought I would get a little wood burning stove until I added up the cost of the correct chimney pipe and accessories...costs more to put in a chimney than the stove does. StepDad rigged Mom's fireplace up with homemade chimney pipe and thinks I am a stupid city girl for not putting faith in his ways.

When I was working at GM I put in for time off for deer season well in advance of everyone else...they refused me...but gave the time off to the MEN who put in for it. So I fixed 'em, I went on a two-week sickleave and came back with pics of a six-point buck:laugh:

The pipe alone for my house was over $400. I think I spent about $2K for the wood stove and installation. However, the heat from it cannot be compared to any other type of heat. It warms your bones, not just the surface skin. Not only that, but you can put a coffee/tea pot on top, and fulfill other needs at the same time. Add to that the calories burned with cutting/splitting wood, and carrying it to the house, and there is yet another advantage.

What I've done in the past, most recently when our blower went out, is use tension rods to hang curtains to help keep heat in specific areas, and then just used space heaters.

I will have a wood stove, can not live in a barn without one! Just probably not this year. I'm just learning the joy of home owning.

the white and blue on the wall are blankets hung up, space heater at my feet. ;)

I'm warm...just whining.

I think that is a great idea but i am going to try a couple of folding room dividers since they will be easier for me to use. I would not have thought of anything so thanks for your post.Maybe i can get warm this winter :)

You can also make some dynamite meals and even bake bread if you also have an oven. Ah, the good ole days:laugh:
