So is it hard to glue antlers on an exhusband? No one stopped you while you were driving home with the "deer" strapped to the hood of your car? I bet that was a very interesting photograph.

It was a legal deer, Loren! And, up north, that's part of it...driving thru town showin' off!

( and they're always on the roof... gotta see where I'm going, don'tcha know...)

This is my brother....

DH and son would put in on a trailer and of course they had to drive through town. The men were envious and most women didn't like it so much.

Thanks JJ:laugh: and I guess the women didn't like it either cuz they were envious or don't realize what good eating venison is!

I think that is a great idea but i am going to try a couple of folding room dividers since they will be easier for me to use. I would not have thought of anything so thanks for your post.Maybe i can get warm this winter :)

You are quite welcome! My mother actually suggested it to me years ago, and I found it an easy, and inexpensive way to help control temperature in a room.

I think we've gained some Reonauts through this method.

I put everything in a huge bowl and use a mixer to blend it all up. The stick of butter is better put in when it is soft too. It is pretty creamy. I do add some of the juice from the canned yams to get it a little more moist than mashed potatoes.

Pineapple is done by itself to reduce and then added. By then it is nice and caramelized. I just started adding the pineapple two years ago. It was good!

Things I learned today:

1) Pineapple takes a LONG time to caramelize.

2) My cat likes pineapple juice. A lot. He is very sneaky when my back is turned to the stove, and he really doesn't care that he isn't supposed to be in the kitchen when I am cooking. :glare:

3) One large can of sweet potatoes from the grocery store will most likely not feed 6 people. I must remember to tell DH to get me a can from costco. Like he needs a reason to go there!

4) Trying to get one pot set up to make stock once the ham is done (for split pea next week), and getting another pot started for a from-scratch soup for tonight requires a lot of slicing and dicing as does peeling sweet potatoes and dicing them for boiling.

5) Stock pots take a lot of room on the stove when you are trying to caramelize pineapple and boil sweet potatoes.

6) The dishwasher will not start unless you press the "start" button, even if you did add the detergent.

I need a damn drink!

Most of the prep is done, now I just gotta cook

Evening Reoville!

A quick story for you.

I work about a mile from my house. I travel down a two lane road that cuts through what use to be woods. Sometimes I can see a few wild turkeys in the grass in front of the few standing trees. Across the main road that I turn onto is a nicely wooded area fronted by some farm field.

Today, early about 8:30, I was taking my time and looking in the grass area. Then at the intersection I made my turn. A few feet to the left stood a nice size doe. Just standing there facing the road. I slowed way down. Checked around and sure enough about 15 feet behind her was a young deer. Drove past and watched them cross the road in my rear view mirror.

That all happened about 1/4 mile from my little place.

What a wonderful start to my off work time. Peaceful and quiet, naturally beautiful.

Hope everyone has at least one experience today that makes them smile from inside out.

Evening everyone, hope you are all well. I've been busy as heck with a new project.

Anywho got so dam cold here I had gloves on this morning and dropped my woodvil getting out of the car :(

Not a ding or scratch on the cocobolo but I broke another drip tip off :(

Drip tips tend to suicide often, which is wonderful since they give their life taking the hit for the REO

You ought to memorialize that drip tip, it saved your woodvil's life!

Good vapemail day today!

Got an Orbtronic charger that basically only charges 18650, but it'll charge 4 of them at full tilt and....

a copper vein Reo grand (+RM2 of course).

Tomorrow work is buying me a can of polyurethane varnish - they just don't know it yet - to coat it and hopefully stop it tarnishing. I showed HRH some pics of the wood mods Rob is making so she's quite happy and i can go about my nefarious business unimpeded by lectures about "money you spent" etc. :)
