Gil, that is an adorable house! 4 bedrooms are a lot to keep up with, hopefully once you're settled you will love it again.

Kay- send me your addy & I'll send you some noalox.

Oh come on now....your a woman. Could you go from a large master bathroom with walk-in tub, 2 sink tiled vanity to a tiny one with just a tub, toilet pedestal sink and a medicine cabinet. I have already called a contractor.

Well hi Gil, sorry you have to move but can understand it. Have a question for all you guys. anyone use Natures flavors to make juice? Was wondering what percentage folks are mixing at.
Alice it looks like you are moving too! I did catch up with the last 6 pages I am waaaaay to far behind to even think of catching up. HI to all I missed this evening.

Been to France before? If not, hope you enjoy it more than I do. Travel there for job regularly, don't really care for it.

Singapore, on the other hand, is a Very Nice Place to go on a business trip. Other than the 30 hour plus travel time that is.

Yeah I went for the first time about a year ago. It's different, lets leave it at that. ;)

I do love the history of it though. Looking at all of the old buildings makes me wonder what they've seen. :)

You are asking the wrong person that question--I went from a beautiful penthouse apartment in the city to a pole barn in the country that had a leaking toilet and no tub or shower at all when I first got here. My first bath taken here was in the front yard...kiddie pool and water hose.

I was the only one here at that time, no neighbor and no family. What a dreamy time that was! I did have the modesty to wait until dark. Really it was pretty cool with stars and tiki torches for lighting. I do, however, very much love my hot water heater now.

If you move back to urban life remember not to do the same in reverse or you will be provided a place to stay ;)

Why not we used to shower between 2 big trees had several hundred feet of black hose layer out in the sun to heat up the water and a piece of copper pipe with the end crimped to make it spray  nothing wrong with it just make sure ya don't let the hose get too hot in the summer :D

Don't feel bad.
I have an outhouse.
Ok, ok, ok, I also have an indoor toilet but if it's occupied, I have a perfectly servicable outhouse. I kind of like it. Sometimes I'll just sit there and watch the whitetail deer roaming around the back yard. It gives me an.....I dunno..,earthy feeling I guess.
Friggin squirrels keep stealing the toilet paper though. I hate that.

I do enjoy the historical architecture. It's the locals that are, ah, "different". ;)

Sometimes it is nice just to hang out in the open air and let loose. It's one of he things I really don't like about my current place. It's just not feasible here :(

This is a joke i remember from an English comedian Les Dawson:

"In awe I watched the waxing moon ride across the zenith of the heavens like an ambered chariot towards the ebony void of infinite space wherein the tethered belts of Jupiter and Mars hang, for ever festooned in their orbital majesty. And as I looked at all this I thought ... I must put a roof on this toilet."
