I use it on this grand only - it's my beater mod! i have another raw (now polished) grand that sits happily in one of Karen's covers and now a copper vein one.

The vv grand never gets used now. Naturally it occurred to me after the event that i could just have bought some adhesive backed carbon fibre and cut it myself on the knife machine at work, but that would have required thought, planning and effort!

Happy weekend everyone :)

Got a big day planned of nothing and then some more nothing after that.

My 10 dollar ohm meter from fastech showed up yesterday and I am stunned at the quality of this little thing.

Really I've used two other types before and I like this one the best. It actually came in a retail box and is superb in fit and finish it blew me away and was not a home brew box like I expected. I just might get a couple more while they are still there just for back-up and back-up :D

My day will be decided by HRH's list :/

I bought a cheap Ohmmeter from Harbor Freight and while not self-zeroing - it's fine for use at work where it sits in a drawer of my desk. At home i have a better one, but i use the doohickey and little black box more than anything else.

i've never bought from fasttech because long shipping times and doubts over Hong Kong Customs deters me.

sardines on toast for breakfast and forget the caplets! Or anchovies and garlic for the height of anti-social sophistication!

T

As someone who grew up in a commercial fishing family on Maryland's Chesapeake Bay, I never saw the appeal of sardines. I was just going back and checking out your j-wrap. Looks nice, but I already have K-wraps (Karen covers) on my mini's. And, like you, the VV Grand just sits at home.

Back when i could ride a trike i used this one

View attachment 273114

it is called a recumbent trike, they are low to the ground and easier to use for some people :) But had to sell it because of dirt roads.

Kool bike. Sorry you had to get rid of it. I know they are really comfortable for many but I can't do anything recumbent because of cervical issues and migraine vertigo. Have to keep chin up with no bending forward/down of head.

Good Day Fine REO Folk. Was able to get to sleep around 0300 but 0530 awake and ready to roll. Same yesterday. The relief and positive anticipation of minimalist living (Val), in the very near future, is over riding the extreme stresses I deal with already even with addition of move, that my energy level has increased. It's not normal ADHD but calmer energy. FM is even eased up some.

Val, I'm doing only a few pieces of furniture in living room and dining room; English Oak antique hexagon barley twist table that was a gift from the Bishop of Canterbury to DH and his first wife (Her father was Episcopal Bishop of Dallas.), antique oak Secretary, Arts and Crafts Oak recliner (Stickley look alike) and "ladies' size" antique rocking chair and, of course art. No TV or modern furniture. But very minimalist even though not modern. Dining area only antique oak Mission style wide book case that DH's Mother and Grandmother used as china cabinet and Lions Head and Foot antique oak table. Kitchen, dining and living room open plan so all the dark oak and so few pieces will really pop out as opposed to being so hidden in our current, over stuffed dark walled house. DH is getting the bedroom as his study. Non-antique glass doored, book cases, media cabinets going in there, DH's recliner and side tables, and my fold up Lafuma Zero gravity lounge chair. Long wall has enough room for book cases and for 48" narrow oak table, for big antique, pot iron Joan of Arch lamp and will be seen from main area of apartment when the door is open. (Will be much of time as only place dogs will be restricted is my study/bedroom.) She has a very interesting history as she, Joan on rearing horse, was involved in a big, scandalous art heist from an antique gallery. The perp was my Mother's next door neighbor. He gifted it to her. Gallery let her keep it. Her story about it all and the "trauma" finding out it was stolen goods is classic. My family are great story tellers. Traveling with them, especially to up scale places, was like being a Clampet, not unlike the TV show. Very intentionally irreverent when it came/comes to snob social behavior but not loud rather very subtle and not harmful or abusive to others. I really miss that. My friend Teddy, who I'll be spending a lot more time with, is very about appearances. Picture the British TV series "Keeping Up Appearances". Thankfully, Teddie doesn't embarrass easily so she's fine with me being naughty and she has a rebellious streak. I'm not the loud one, though. Being such a major Catholic she does, though, spend a lot of time praying for me, her heathen friend. I will go to a mass with her, here and there, as I so love the "show". (She's Greek/Irish and grew up Greek Orthodox converting to Catholicism in her early 20's.) We are an odd pair appearance wise (and religion wise). She's usually dressed to the T and I'm back woods comfy with a hint of "flower child" thrown in when I get "cleaned up".

Jen, I plan on keeping really close contact with Curly and Rosie's new families. The peeps will get an "Auntie AiAi", me, in the "deal". (AiAi is what family has always called me and now grand kids - pronounced I-I southern accent "I") And there will be a contract I WILL enforce. I'll most likely have Teddie do the monthly calls to them as she likes to talk on phone and "be in charge".

Doggie park will suffice. It's not large and only shaded area is small pavilion with picnic bench. The doggie park 20 minutes west of our current home is HUGE and has wooded trails. It will be 30 miles from new place. But as long as we have our old property I can bring them here to swim and run free. I haven't decided whether I'm keeping the "front 40" attached to our property. It's not quite an acre and can't be built on and has little monetary value except as wooded buffer between the three houses. If DH does do some work in future I'll be able to afford to fence it properly (aesthetically pleasing and fitting in with woods so it won't be an eyesore to neighbors) and it will be a great place for dogs to run and play. Need to find a place for them to swim. All of the doggie meetups and swim parties, I know about are way north of Dallas. Hoping to find a rancher near new place that will let them swim in stock tank.

Daylight now. Heading out in a few after coffee and loading some stuff in car. Moving some kitchen stuff over today. There's plenty to fully equip two kitchens. I've been sipping DH's non-aspartame diet cola that does have some caffeine. Taking a twin Aerobed and some linens. Still have no formal move date. Lots to do. DD is flying in for a couple of days to sort out her stuff, pick out the antiques and art she wants and make arrangements to store. Chanukah is approaching and busiest time of year at Temple. (She's Education Director) Otherwise she'd stay a little longer.

Love and hugs all around.

Good morning Reoville. It officially feels like hunting season now. I scared a very nice 8pt buck this morning. An hour or do of searching turned up no hair or blood, so I'm fairly certain it was a clean miss. I'm hoping he might come back at some point to taunt me ;)

What is magic about 63?

That is when i can get on a list for senior apt/housing. They have the nicest places to live with transportation and lots of parties/activities. I have 2 an 1/2 years to wait just to be on a list!

Right now i live in between 2 dead end dirt roads with only one neighbor close by.Living alone is lonely when it is out in the sticks!
