Just watched this and it royally ticked me off. How anyone sit back and make around a 200,000 OR MORE a year condone this.

A short rant and so got my blood to boiling.

Words Like 'Good' And 'Will' Don't Belong Together If This Is The Kind Of Thing They Do

And on that note good night. Or at least I hope I can sleep!!

I know about this personally and it always has made me mad. My mom worked for goodwill until a nice man came in and hired her and another woman to work in his upholstery shop :) The man and his wife owned a upholstery shop and wanted to help the disabled instead of take advantage like goodwill does. My mom was so happy because she had kids to raise. How he found out about my mom was through our church. My mom didn't go to church but sent us every Sunday.

I must ask what the :censored: does the regional director of Goodwill do that they earn more than the president of the US. I don't think their job is worth more than 100,000 at the most. I'll never shop there. What a bunch of pukes. I figure if the 7300 disabled people who work for less than minimum wage were to get minimum wage it would cost about 110 million. That's 1/50th of their profit for the year actually less than that because that's not taking into account the wage they already get which I cannot take into consideration because I don't know it. How can those jerks sleep at night.

Pink is for girls. That's how they get to hold the checkbook.
Time Warner Cable. Their junction box is in my front yard. Two years ago the next door neighbor's house was hit by lightning. Didn't catch fire, but fried a bunch of their stuff. The electric charge back-fed into the junction box, so TWC replaced all the lines with modern cable to and in every house in the cul-de-sac. Still costs too much though.....
Goodwill briefly tried a "You can Drive a Big Rig !" tractor-trailer training course about two years ago. But welfare recipients do not like the idea of 16 hour work days, so it was short lived.
Other than that- IT'S SATURDAY :toast: Have a Safe and Blessed Day REOVille :)

AT&T were out here last night trying to persuade people that their fibreoptic rollout is now worth getting. I have heard it all before because 6 months ago they were doing the same, but when i posted the speedtest results of my machine, they admitted they could not match it yet.

Yesterday they got the pleasure of talking to HRH on the doorstep and she does not budge! "so what do you pay a month?" "no idea - Trunker pays it, but it always works and it's fast enough for me to DJ". "Well i'm Elaine and i'll leave you a brochure ok? - what's your name?", "Smurfie", "well nice to talk to you Mrs Smurfie"

PMSL.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving dinner at work, which is interminably boring usually. But this particular occasion was lightened by the complete inability of the GM to grasp until part way through her speech that this month's sales suck compared to lasts!
Not helped by the heckling coming from me and the VP of the place.

"anyone have any idea how many orders we completed last month?"
T: "1200"
"close - 1216 actually, but we are rocking this month too - right now we're at almost 600.."
T: "err, yes, but there are 3 shipping days left this month, so really rocking...!!"

eerie silence. Better shut up and eat more turkey.

Good morning, REOvil!
Another gorgeous rainy day here. Been fairly busy all week tackling the last of the boxes I never unpacked. Finally got through the boxes of tupperware and cat hair to rediscover all my cake pans, decorating doo-dads and uniforms. Also had a great doctor visit on Thursday. No more big brace and start physical therapy after Thanksgiving. He said even if I do need the additional screws I should be back to work in no more than 3-4 months time.
WoooHooo to the nth degree!

Great news Jen. Big bear hugs. You'll be doing back flips before you know it.

Your quote is very true, however, many that hold their self out to be an expert are merely a drip under pressure!:?:
