My father's car when i was a boy was so worn out and rusty - i thought it was really cool to be able to see the road passing by (not very fast i might add) between the control pedals!
At work now they have had Chevy, 2 Fords and ruined them all in under 3 years.

we have ford diesels at work one is making this horrid noise turns out its an exhaust leak and they use metal gaskets so the exhaust whistles and vibrates the gaskets its horrid long story short the cab has to come off the truck to find then fix the leak the time we spent looking for it the other day I coulda had the exhaust from my truck unmounted and laying beside the truck
I thought that nobody would buy them 2nd hand. After the front ends get a little wear and tear on them, the dreaded "Dodge death wobble" appears. Hence the 1.5 million that were just recalled in the past month for crappy front ends.
I ran a 99 Dodge 3/4 ton van to 263,000 miles! Front end was constantly in need of alignment. Finally broke timing chain (3rd one) and valves hit a couple of pistons for the death knell.

Ford F-150 here. 1st ('91) still on the road, my older stepson has it going with over 250,00 miles on it. 2nd ('06) Had a 60' red oak fall directly in front of me at 4:00am on way to work. Destroyed the truck, but I walked away from it. 3rd ('10) is parked in the driveway and will be paid for in a little over two years. The old Chevy 10's were King, but the F-150 has been going strong for 30 years now.
360k miles on mine now and tight as a whistle Ive put 250k of them on with no front end issues yet the last and I mean Last ford you didn't have to steer on the big freeways up north it would just follow the tracks left in the road god help you if ya hit a pot hole though and it was a mid 80's and like I said 6 hours to open up the ford to look at the exhaust system and not even get the main job done ya right in 6 hours I can have a new system installed in mine and be sitting back watching tv while they try to find that last bolt on the ford

It's 35° here...may have to put a 3rd shirt on.

Put them on with nothing but your tighty whiteys on a skid mark doesn't hurt A yellow stain on the front is perfect now go knock on his door and have a word with him i guarantee you he will be so mind F'd he won't have a clue what to do or say other than nod and agree with you
