I can assure you from experience it works real good heck I once shut down a party of 30+ teens by kicking the door till they opened it I didn't say a word all of a sudden the music stopped i didn't even have to say anything I slept real good after that

back in the day, whenever i spied someone carrying a bible, i would strip down and answer the door stark naked.
then i got married and had to become civilized so i had a sign made that read "door-to-door salesmen will be shot. door-to-door jesus peddlers will be drawn and quartered"
both solutions worked admirably...
not that i'm anti-religious. i was a preacher-in-training in my youth. i just could never tolerate the door-to-door thing...
