I wish. My problem is I'm so close to the ocean I can pretty much piss in it from anywhere here

 Ya...it will be 19° tonight. Won't be much above freezing for the next 5 days or so. Should get some snow later this weekend, maybe. We're 321' above sea level about 2 miles from the bay.

We are bracing for what appears to be shaping up as an ice storm. YOu do not want to live out in the middle of nowhere in forests, in that situation. last time, the roads were impassible, trees were in the roads, and we went w/out electricity for 10 full days.

Oh well, I have a woodstove, and food, and my big dogs.....and some batteries charged up. Flashlight and a few oil lamps. I got rid of my generator years ago, you have to keep gasoline on hand for it, and usually they are just too heavy even with wheeels, for me to move around. I can heat water on the woodstove and cook on there is I have to.

Only thing I worry about is 50' trees falling on my cabin.

Unlike in town, things don't thaw out here in the forest, and there are no plows or anything so the roads stay impassible til stuff thaws, and that doesn't look like it's gonna happen.

We usually loose electricity for sure, just hope the phones stay up. Sort of nervous tonight.

Good morning, REOvil!

Gil- I hope your lungs clear up quick! After surgery one of my nurses had me blowing into some plastic contraption and remarked that I must have never smoked a day in my life. "only for 20 years!"

MWDenko-Congrats on dinner! ;)

Karen- WoooHooo! Happy snow day! Hope you get home before it hits!

Mike- Happy healing!

Val- on the benadryl tip. Gonna have to try that next time I have to take a itchy scratchy hyper pill.

Loli- Single serving cookie?

Mogium- Sorry I missed it!

Good morning REOvillians.

And I don't believe I have said Welcome to the lounge to Un5tab1e. That moniker is hard to type! If you don't mind, I will have to call you Able unless you have a real name you would like to share

It's 0340 here, DH is going to work and I think I shall get back in my warm bed for a while, it's 25 degrees outside this morning.

RACEHORSE, I hope things go well for you guys! Does your charger have a car adapter in case the electricity is out for that long again? That is what I have for the backup of the backup batteries :)

Scott I know why you got those gloves. If you think you are fooling anyone, my dear sir you are so saddenly mistaken. We are on to you. Nothing gets past us Reonauts. You take us for fools. Ha, you underestimate us. You are only fooling yourself on this one. We know you just don't want to leave finger prints behind at the scene. But they do look good!
