Good morning, everyone! :)
Just getting ready to finish some distribution up in the mountains today. Couldn't make it last week due to being sick and too much snow up there for my little car. And then I've got a few more presents to buy so I'll get that done this afternoon. Then home for the holidays ....and a whole lotta jammie time. Hope you all have a great day!

Good afternoon Reoville! I ended up spending the majority of yesterday working on getting my generator hooked up to the house. I only ended up frying one light fixture and a few bulbs. For some reason it was sending the 240 through all my 120 lines (my old wiring isn't a fan of the high voltage, go figure). I got it working well enough to run the water, freezer and fridge. I'm pretty sure this triggered a light at the power company that indicated it was ok to turn our power back on. Today will be a day of picking up branches and undoing my stellar wiring. On a more positive note, I think I may have sold The Evil One on letting me get the automatic propane generator system. I think I'll have to wait until I go back to work though. I hope everyone's having a good day. I'm hearing the crack of the whip in the background so I'd better get back to my assigned tasks.

Good evening Reoville. Just got back from the ex's house where I baby sat the grandchildren. My daughter and ex had to go shopping so I baby sat. Hey they were only gone for 9 hours with no phone on them! 9 hours! How does one shop for 9 hours? How does one not check back home to see how things are going with grandpa and a 2 and 5 year old. How does one person with 4 phones leave the house without one phone with them. How does one stop a 2 year old thats crying "I want my mama." How does one get along when his Woodvil gets a short and he has no backup with him. Strange short as I was using the same coil I built 3 weeks ago. How does one solder a new spring in?

Wait til the ex hears my messages left on her voice mail...lol. Tis the season to be jolly..fa la la la la..la la la...humbug.

PS. I was Ken today with my Barbie Ken. I wore a suit and got married. I had a baby Annabelle the following year. We lived by the ocean and I went swimming..swimming Ken. Granddaughter went on a safari to the savannah where she built a fire. She was also a super star singer and won an award. I havent figured out what the two year old was.

Interesting day to say the least. Peace to all.

It doesn't hurt to remind ourselves that words matter. It's an awareness thing, and we all get lazy in our word usage.

I ended up leaving a racing forum over the indiscriminate use of the "R" word. The person used it as an adjective to demean another poster, implying they were "lesser". So I offered that the only appropriate use of that word is as a verb, as in "to delay" or "to make slow" , but never prejoratively as a noun or adjective. I left because once I explained how it should and shouldn't be used, it wasn't well-received, i.e. I encountered a whole lot of flak (that I was giving morality lessons/english lessons ).

At the time I was doing some volunteering in a center for developmentally disabled and they shared the many hurtful stories of growing up and being called names, so my emotions were pretty close to the surface that year.

Now I just link to this article:
Special Olympics takes on word '......' - US news - Life | NBC News

Later, I came to see that all human beings are special needs, since we all have huge "deficits" but they are not always real obvious. Probably why the great spritual masters tell us we should practice being humble.

Besides which, A Beautiful Thing Is Never Perfect ;)

as someone who has been known to occasionally cross a line or two, all i can say is this is my favorite post of the year.

Good evening, Reoville!

The clocks ticking. The kids are all wound up. Telling me "I'm not going to sleep until Christmas!" Good luck with that!...

Too bad I have to work tomorrow. Such is the way it is.
