hey everyone!
had to leave home for a few days...we got a hellacious icestorm and lost all power in the whole county on Sunday. Consumers said some areas might have power by Sat., so i called my GD to come rescue me...for some bizarre reason , a two-block area where she lives had power. Then I saw the Consumers Power Co. on tv saying that SOME areas in Genessee county might have power by Sat., so we came back here yesterday and got all the frozen food plus many more things to see me thru till Sun. ( I'd thought it might last only a day or two)
A while ago a friend who lives here called me and said the power was back on! I guess we were selected as among the first because there's so many decrepid old folks that live here,
There are some bennies to living in a senior complex!
Now I must go take a long hot bubble bath....my GD only has a shower..a tiny shower!
Welcome back Kay! Glad you are able to be home finally! This Michigan winter has been a rough one already! We did not get all the ice here but sure have tons of snow! Glad I am able to hunker down and enjoy the kiddo's playing with all there Christmas loot! Merry Christmas Hon!

I was so very happy yesterday!
My laptop battery had decided to slide down hill and not fully charge. It was dropping every week.
Well, about 7 years ago I had received a spare battery from Acer. I had left it untouched in the box all these years. Never once charged it.
Yesterday I arrived at work and put in the new battery. It went straight to "on AC power" not showing anything charging.
A hour later it popped up "charging". After a few hours it was showing 100% charged!
I couldn't believe that a Li-ion battery could sit so long and then be brought back to life!
It's these little things that make life enjoyable!

You can count me as one that does not go to Walmart on Christmas Eve. Make that EVER. I cannot tolerate their corporate policies and the way they treat their employees so I do not limp through their doors. My friend was injured there by some shoppers eager to save ONE PENNY on a "sale" item. Regular price for some cheap clothing item: 5.99. Black Friday special price: $5.98. She got called names, cussed out and attacked for not undoing the plastic pallet fast enough when someone apparently needed a penny more than to have any respect for a human being. She couldn't say one word to the "customer" about their abhorrent behavior and her boss was a real ...... about the injury. She shares that story every year with me, and every year I vow not to support them with my money. My little one person stand
Little Beau is still hanging in here, though he seems to be getting weaker. DH's daughter is in town, and she finally paid me back for all the eGo's, clearos and half liter of juice I sent her so she could get others interested in vaping. It has only been a year. Got her off the naughty list just in time though

New reonaut here! Got my first one (white Grand) last Monday, ordered another Grand and a Mini by Tuesday afternoon. Now I'm dealing with the HORROR of the USPS having (presumably) lost my package. Should have had it on Saturday, but it was flagged as "undeliverable" and routed around to various sorting facilities...the last of which updated on Sunday @ 2:00 AM and that's the last it's been seen or heard from.
Blerg. Found out today that it's floating around because it has the wrong address on it; somehow my two paypal addresses got combined to give it my office street address and my home city/state/zip. I'm SO bummed I'm not going to have my new toys any time soon, hopefully the USPS can fix it, I've been on hold with them for an hour now, probably along with a million other people.
Thank god I have my Grand to get me through the holiday! I haven't put the darn thing down since I got it two weeks ago!

Make sure you go to PayPal and check your address. Also check your info on reosmods.
Usually the address comes straight from PayPal.

Morning Jen! We had a low of 16 and a bit of frost. All our snow from last week is gone. It will NOT be white here tomorrow!

I clocked into work yesterday at 2 p.m. Working every hour till Thursday around 9 a.m. Holiday pay, the extra 8 hours half time, is nice.
Will make the drive out to Indiana on Thursday afternoon to see my daughter and her family. My other daughter dropped by on Sunday for a short visit. Nothing special planned just visiting a bit.
Just want this week and next over with as quickly as possible. The extra hours and work involved is tiring and some times overwhelming.

Yeah, the first thing I did was check PayPal to make sure I hadn't messed something up. The addresses are both in their correctly, it's like they somehow merged into one incorrect address on the shipping label. Very weird. I didn't check my info on reosmods, I'll go do that now, thanks for the suggestion!
