Hi Rob...this is probably one of the most random threads on ECF. We specialize in Reo tinted randomness. We talk about vaping, reos, hunting, music, reos, farts, socks, chickens, reos, lizard nipples, and lots of recipies.

Ha I'm late to this but, LIZARD NIPPLES???!

Yeah we have to if we get out of our equipment. The nickname came from one of our mechanics years ago though. I shaved my head with clippers one summer. I think I was like 19 and had always kept my hair a little long. My head was so white with what little hair was left. He said I looked like a tater that had rolled around in a coal bucket. It started as coal buckethead and got shortened over the years but, it's stuck through 4 different companies over the last 13 years.

My less abled grandson, has Down syndrome, & health issues,
One of the health issues, is something called floppy throat, he's 5, & has never eaten anything more than a kids yogurt, he's fed a weird milk, through a peg in his stomach
Due to this throat issue, he can't talk, & is learning sign language
When I saw him this morning, it took him a good while, but he signed LOVE YOU GRANDAD,
Still choking me up thinking about it,
We take being healthy, & whole far too much for granted
Frank

My son used to eat some blended up veggies but could never get him to put on weight so they finally put a g-tube in his belly and all he's been fed for the last 12 years or so is ensure which is a high calorie milk type drink and all my oldest daughter has ever had with the exception of a little ice cream :p

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday, from all the posts it sure sounds like it!

Congrats Dave, your daughter is amazing!
Ed, we have the same taste in wine. I just love that Sunset blush also.

I had a lot of catching up to do in here

Merry Christmas Val, I hope you had a wonderful day. :)

Good Morning REOVille. Just getting started after being up 'til nearly midnight with Family and Friends.
Loli, Every Day is an opportunity to grow. Stay calm, and everything will become as it should be, and be thankful for that which we do have.
I always thought 'Buckethead' was someone in the Army. But that's because I was once a 'Squid'. (Pit-Snipe, actually)
And I do hope Everyone has a Safe and Blessed Day :)

Feeder and Pietro I can so relate to these stories. My twins were born 3 mos early weighing 1 and 2 pounds. The smaller of the two was tube fed for the first 4 yrs of life. Would not even take a sip of water by mouth. After years of feeding therapy and trips to John Hopkins I ended up taking him to Columbus Ohio feeding clinic. Ten days in the Hospital and he walked out of there never using a feeding tube again! He had an adversion with sever refulx which required a Nissen Fundoplication. They basically let the hunger outweigh the fear and he began to eat. Of course it was supervised and if you did this at home it would be child abuse. But it was like a miracle. He now is a very picky eater and 35# smaller than his twin but is eating on his own and now 12 yrs old!
