thinkorswim is too frustrating. most of it's "documentation" is in videos which i don't have the patience for. i don't do many spreads-- mostly just puts and calls, so the web interface works good enough.

optionshouse has low fees for stocks and especially options. so far this month i've done 70 trades in that account. the fees for any of the other brokerages would have been prohibitive for a lot of those trades. most of the trades are in weekly options and often the profit goal can be as little as $100.

for an investor (not so much a trader), one of the best sources of info is a site called Seeking Alpha. i read a lot there every day for the "investor" part of my portfolio.

glad you're starting to feel better!

Thanks. I don't use think or swim either. I do use Seeking Alpha though. I get their "Today’s articles on Dividends & Income" delivered daily.

I am so sorry! That is just torture, plain and simple. :(

you can just get an emulator Dennis and be 30 years younger! i think there's even a whack-a-mole game but you can substitute chickens ofc.

i actually didn't use it much for games. with my usual impeccable timing, i decided that an app that gave that "game machine" a business-oriented operating system would sell. at the time the dominant business OS was called CP/M. so i spent god knows how many months writing a version and put it in a cartridge.

right about the time i finished it, IBM came out with the PC. bye-bye CP/M... bye-bye early retirement :)

i once had the pleasure to fix a cp/m machine. For those of you that have no idea what we are on about we are geeks and cp/m was before DOS and Windoze!

It has little LEDs on the board to help you fault find! Fun!

Were they expensive? Was there a internet back then?

I got a webtv in 1998 and it cost almost 300 bucks smh But it was so worth it to me because computers were expensive and at the time i thought only geeks could use them :D

Luckily my father was also a geek and he had access to these things thru his work. I'm English and such internet as was there was really all text based (no windows) and a loose collaboration of usually defence facilities and universities.

For Windoze and streaming video - you really have to thank the porn industry who were very keen to develop ways to compress video files to send over the internet! Gives Youtube a whole new angle!

"ofc he does - he wants me to pay another $200! explain to me how it is i send you a text when you are out and it says ON YOUR PHONE 'failed', and you can read it - but it doesn't work?"

Trunker get a dog. Not a fifi dog but a real mans dog I promise you it's worth it. Even when Smurf isn't taking to you, you will know someone will love you  Cats aren't like that they are miserable self centered animals Although they do make good dog toys :D

My can't isn't miserable. I doubt Oscar is either.

as for self-centered, well, dogs waking you up at 0300 isn't exactly UNself-centered is it?

I wanted to ask you though, Simba always looks very clean and pretty. She must like water then? How often do you have to give her a bath because she always seems to look good. Our stupid dog hates water :(
