I know. And Canadians do the same about you guys. I dunno why we so much alike in similar different ways. Heck watch our news lately and see the corruption in our politics much like yours. We make third world countries look legit

Sorry to hear that....I am not fond of doctors or meds for that matter. I avoid them all if at all possible. Especially these days when so many meds are nearly as dangerous as the ailments they are meant to cure. My last visit to my doctor included a long discussion of this, she now has a clear understanding that most medications I simply will not take without due diligence and if it appears I may put my body in danger, then other options will need to be presented.

I hope that whatever you are having to adapt to balance out quickly and with ease. :)

That's good to know. My doctor gave me hers as well, but I'm not on any meds. Guess she's trying to help me get past my ...er....mistrust. And keep me as a customer. I'm a flighty little thing.

Alright, movie is over so I'm taking my freshly bathed fur brats to bed. Sleep well when you can :)

So, I did something stupid last Saturday, and again last Monday. I have two checking accounts, one at a credit union, and one at a bank, both checkbooks are blue. Yeah, you can probably see where this is going. So, I never use my credit union account, except for squirreling a little money away, a little money. When the furnace guy came out, I grabbed the wrong checkbook, on both days. Waited all week for the money to come out of the account, wondering what was taking so long. Saturday two envelopes arrived from the credit union, but I had just paid off a credit card with them, so I thought it was related to that. Eventually I opened each envelope, one was an overdraft protection notice, saying the first check had been covered, and they had charged me the overdraft fee, the second was an insufficient funds warning, saying the check was refused.

I was mortified, I haven't accidentally bounced a check since I was a stupid kid. I pay all my bills on time, usually early. I thought I was going to have a stroke, I was so upset. I was really happy with the furnace guy, and am looking forward to having them out again to do checkups and whatnot. I called them as soon as I saw what happened, wanting to settle up for the second check, but their office people aren't in on the weekend, so I'm waiting on them to call me back today.

I put the credit union checkbook someplace where I will never mix it up with the other one, not that I'm not going to make sure I have the right one next time, but extra precaution can't be a bad thing.

I'm feeling better now, in fact a few hours after I discovered the problem, I had calmed down, but I still feel stupid about the whole thing.

Just wanted to share my little story, I would have shared it earlier, but it would have gotten modded due to language. ;)

Good morning, REOvil!

Overdraft protection? Charge $35 and then still send one back... we must have the same bank! Knock on wood, I haven't had an overdraft in years. I, however, do have to keep an eye on my Mom's nightmare of a banking system. Her system- never write anything down, immediately forget about any checks written for bills, never check account online...only call to hear balance, "WooHoo there's money in the bank"..."No, Mom there isn't, don't forget about the checks in the mail"

My Monday madness is a continuation from the weekend. We are having Thanksgiving at my cousin's house with his new wife...of course I volunteered to do something sweet. I have searched for three days for my recipe folder. Recipes that I have saved over the past 15 years or so....family stuff, school, the past three kitchens I worked in. If I ever find it I am going to take the time to enter it in the computer and get it organized & saved in a few places.
Meeting new cousin's wife "Yes, I'm the chef....I brought a vegetable tray"

There is a limit, unfortunately, to the overdraft protection, the first was under that limit, the second was not. :(

you'd be taking the mini from HRH so you can fight it out! i have wood mods, wood Reos, and everything in between - it's not like wood is a new material!

I'm not even after one for myself - so i'll give you the one i am not going to get!

    T

Oh Trunker! I would NEVER fight it out with my galpal!I'd give her the shirt off my back if she wanted it!

I'd get her a wood even, if she wanted one!

( but someone might have to help me accomplish that:D)
