Alice -- I am so happy your chicken came out well and that DH loved it! I barely got the recipe to you as the wifi was crashing. I sure do wish I had read your post about using the phone on your tablet before I went to Best buy today! I traded (again) the iPad. It was absolutely zero dollars to trade from the iPad 4 to the iPad Air since it was within the 15 days. I had to come here to the condo again after I got it so I could set it up from iCloud since no wifi at the house. I did not pay the extra $125ish to add a phone to it, but hey - I now have 15 days to trade it in and do that. All in all, a brand spanking new iPad Air 32 GB cost me $80ish from the iPad 2 16 GB I won at Vapetoberfest. I have never done anything like this before so wasn't sure Best buy would let me trade again, but it was no problem!

I don't pay for the hotspot on the cell phone, I am pretty sure I have to sign up for that? I figured I would never use it, and considering I keep cable and wifi here at the condo and don't come here for months at a time just didn't consider the extra cost worth it. I need to look into that though.

When I was here earlier I was looking for some antique glass I had broken years ago and promised to send to Bert if I could find it, and during looking lost my sunglasses! I couldn't find the glass, and had a lunch date with a friend. So, came back, found my glasses and figured I would check in again.

Den - congrats on the vapemail, but dude isn't it kind of mean to just leave us hanging??? As soon as I figure out how to take pictures on the iPad and upload them to here, I will post a picture showing DH's new RM2 and driptip that I am giving him for Christmas if I can hold out that long. You all will see it before he does

And did I see House Mouse - VAL ??? Sorry I didn't say hi before, as I said wifi has been spotty for the past few days so I missed a lot of posts. It's nice to see you back!!

Sorry if I missed anyone else, I am only online for a driveby and have to get to the house to make dinner.

-------

Be kind to one another, stay safe and have a great day everyone! I will try to get back soon.

BTW... this is a quick drive by. Speaking of creamed corn.... PictSweet brand has a decent frozen creamed corn that is thickened with cornstarch. I think it's new. Our Albertson's just started carrying it and it flies out of freezer at store. It is packed in a plastic tube. I like the PictSweet frozen veggies. Most are as good or better than higher priced and, in most, the sodium is lower than most brands. They have little "single serve" in boxes but one is enough for two people. My favorite is the creamed spinach that comes in the little boxes and the more servings bags. Our Walmart Super Center carries the PictSweet Brand. Check labels if you are gluten sensitive. Some have gluten and others don't, although they don't label those as GF.

Here's what I'm making tomorrow night. I'm using GF bread (have two half loaves in garage fridge, over a month old that are still good but need to be used - we really don't eat much bread) and making my own GF, lactose free, mushroom soup. I have several varieties of exotic dried mushrooms in freezer. Wonder which to use. I could lower the poultry seasoning to let the delicate mushroom notes come through.

DH is going out to town. Gonna have him pick up the cauliflower, celery, and fresh mushrooms. Need more onions, too. I hate to use the "exotic" mushrooms for such a strong flavored dish. Have the pork. Last of HUGE loin I picked up last month and cut into roasts and chops and then frozen. (Our big freezer goes so cold it's almost flash freezes.) Turned out to be very cost effective but I do want to explore pork shoulder. Last time in Costco didn't see any so may have to stick with loin.

I gave up on coffee makers a few years ago. Spent a fortune over time trying to find one that would last.

Now I have an carafe from my old coffee maker and the basket. I bought a electric tea kettle for hot water. Just put my tea or coffee in the strainer and pour hot water over it. It drips right into the carafe.

I am happy! Now I do have a Keurig I got last year as a gift. It stays here at work. I enjoy a cup of coffee or tea here in that once in awhile. Mostly I use a coffee pot and heat water and use a tea bag. Got to watch cost of the Keurig stuff.

Good evening everyone :) Long day running ditch witch to put in 2 foot deep root barrier beside a bike lane Seems it would have been easier to just cut trees down and Round up the stumps and just solve the problem
Val if you have smart phone with internet you shouldn't have to pay for hotspot its just a setting on the phone
