Good afternoon everyone! Just checking in for a bit. From the looks of the clouds we're in for a bit of rain later on today. It's been really warm and windy today, but still humid. Great day to stay indoors with the AC. Just got back in from work. Had to recertify in ACLS, so I'm vegging in front of the computer for a few minutes before I have to start getting chores done around here. Hope everyone has a great evening!!

I'm about 3/4 the way talking myself into a Reo VV. Now... What was all this I heard about stacking batteries is bad? For some reason it is ok in the Reo... Just curious. (Forgive me if this was covered somewhere else) I'm really liking my mini.

Now just trying to convince myself that I should get a VV with another Reomizer 2.0...... :)

I've been stacking recommended batteries for a couple years. I no longer stack LiFePO batteries because of controversy over the safety of them if they go into rapid discharge state. The chip in VV REOs, Buzz and Infinity Pros (basically all the same chip) is one of the safest with thousands in use for at lesst two years. And recommend AW IMR batteries don't spew harmful chemicals, at high velocity, as other chemistries can and have done and virtually no risk of fire if they malfunction.

One of my best hints for keeping discharge on individual batteries of sets pretty even, and because I struggle with order, is to swap the battery position out at loosely measured juice use. That way I don't have to note or remember to swap battery position with each use. Having enough sets so you can swap sets out before they discharge to cut off and resting them before and after charging is supposed to extend their longevity, too.

While I still mark mine 1a/1b and so on I don't really have to pay much attention to the letters. Also, mark them with a sharpie and then cover that small area with scotch tape or the marking will eventually rub off.

Oh, and keep sets together and don't use individuals of a set singly for other mods or configurations and then use them again in sets especially with high drain use. I think I ruined a few batteries doing that.

Afternoon Fine REO Folk.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

mwdenko, welcome buddy. Your name rings a bell But dunno where, I was in your camp minus the mini, about stacking but as long as you dont use magnets (some non reos use them as spacers) then you'll be safe and speaking of safe, the VVG is a great choice you'll use it more than your mini. It's like the provari of reos because all the protection is built in 'n regulated so I toss in 2 18350's from provape and im in business. Button placement is a plus too in a vvg.

So whats the catch? if it doesnt work it needs a trip to maine sincemthe guts arent user serviceable so no iso baths for vvg's but I'm cool with that, many noobs like that too

It's lunch time out here in California - the kiddos are happily and quietly eating, so I thought I'd step into the lounge for a few minutes...

Unsure - saw your tracking tag for Oakdale. We lived in Fernbridge and then in Sonora when I was a little girl in the 60's. Oakdale was where we "turned left" for the last leg of the journey coming home from my grandparents house in the Bay Area.

Welcome to the lounge moon, I don't believe we've met. Hope you 'n mwdenko stick around great folks here very supportive and fun.

I know exactly what you mean. My L1&2 are ruptured, and I have sciatic nerve pain all day everyday. I drive deliveries because all I have to do is drive I can't lift much of anything. Could qualify for disability but don't want to and have a big fear of narcotics. So I eat tylenol and advil. I pretty much do what I want and take the pain cause I refuse to let the injury win. Through at 34 I do sometimes have to use a cane because of right leg weakness. Maybe one day I will cowboy up and get fixed right now it isn't comfortable but manageable.

After a bad wreck in mid 70s, multiple hernianed discs in neck and back and many soft tissue sprains/strains/tears sll over body, (if my knock on wood bones hadn't been so healthy with so much muscling for protection I possibly would have sustained broken neck and back), testings in and out of hospital, PT and other therapies, for years, complete change of most life style ergonomics down to changing bicycle seat and handlebars, frequent bouts of weakness and/or extreme pain events wher I couldn't move because of pain, addiction to valium over several years, always having 2 canes handy and ones for travel, permanent nerve root damage, etc....... and "managing" almost 10 years to the day I was out of town dog showing and was in so much pain, but still functional, I was bumming any people or doggie pain meds I could get.... last day, while in ring with Mastiff, right side gave out almost totally. Took me two days to drive home (I had three Mastiffs with me; handler carried the others back.) and stop for night back home only a couple hundred miles. Next day doc admitted me for emergency surgery. Not something to mess around with due to potential permanent nerve damage. (Although my docs and my doc DH say there is no such thing as partial paralysis rather correct label is "weakness" Jen and I firmly disagree with them.) Since the initial injury I can't for instance feel pulses with my right hand, but all pain nerves fully functional. I'll have to admit, and it really pisses DH off that I haven't gone to doc about it, I've had numbness in three fingers of left hand for a couple of months. It may be something permanent as I've waited so long. At least there is no pain in arm/hand and neck pain has subsided a lot.

Take care, Feisty Alice

No way jose, thats beckyblue's realm. But i remember the ban game because imsaw her in my activity screen doing those things. That girl is spunky and gets around I tell ya!

The point is, you made it here to the promise land, kick up your feet wait for the reo vets to come around and enjoy the show. Scotty will be modeling his cargo shorts and sash or val will be stuffing dollar bills down his pants.

Nutz will let you know what suppliments and amino acids are missing from your diet, kay will court you into submitting pictures of yourself to the reo pic thread, unsure and karen will make you feel insecure about not having a woodie (not onpurpose of course!), supertrunker will kill you with his dry british wit, fiesty alice will remind you how unsafe it is living in the south with snakes and cayotes and what not.

Darrel, olwildbil, and inkdog are the resident dog whisperers, delli is cute (she had red hilights once so super sexy to me) even tho shes into poodles (lil nutty lady), lisa and karen (or anyone with a monkey in their avi) will help you wth anything technical when they're up, and I just realized If I go on it'll just be a wall of text which wont be read so basically in a nutshell I wanted to say,

My fear of Narcotics comes from a shoulder injury from riding horses. I used to do hunter/jumper shows. Had a horse refuse the jump and I flipped off my arm got tangled in the reins and I tore my shoulder up good. Got addicted to vicadin over that now to me narcs are a last resort. I still lose feeling in my right hand at the worst times lol. I injured my back working as a CNA, my partner lost hold of the resident we were transferring and I took a 280lb man down to he bed while twisting. Felt my back pop and that was that. Took a year to get to the point I can walk but get right leg weakness all the time. I have learned to live with it, but someday I know it will get to the point I have to do something about it. Just putting off as long as possible lol

Hi RedhatPat, I'm an almost reonaut - placed my order yesterday. It was reading posts in the forum here that was the final thing that pushed me over the edge in that decision.

Unsure, what I remember about snow in Sonora from my childhood was just the right amount. Maybe a couple of inches which lasted a day or two once or twice a winter, if even that. We like to go up there every year or two - both my husband and I really like the area up there. I wanted to go up for the old fashioned 4th of July parade in Columbia again this year, but it's not feasible this year, with the 4th being in the middle of the work week for my husband. I know we could drive up there and back in one day, but we like to spend at least one or two nights up there when we go.
