1.Why don't they sell them in a starter kit with batteries and charger?:cry::cry::cry:
2.Why are they so expensive?:shock::shock::shock::shock:
3.Are they hand made or made in usa?
4.Why are the suppliers out of all of them? I couldn't find any for sell. I dont know about the classifieds though, not even sure how to find that section.
5.Do they have a warranty?
6.Why is this all so confusing?!!!!!!!

Lol @ 6. My biggest confusion is the battery thing, I keep reading the mods are the ones that have been blowing up, then I read it's because the users are not using the correct batteries,, only to realize that the mods are NOT sold with batteries which would explain the user errors.

  1. Rob's decision was not to sell batteries and chargers. There are plenty of other reliable vendors from which to buy those.
  2. Economies of scale. They aren't mass produced in China, but they're worth every red cent, in my opinion.
  3. The metal mods are milled from blocks of aluminum in machine shops under contract to Rob. They also get tumbled and anodized at other shops under contract to Rob. Rob and his porkies build them in Johnny's mod shack and ship them out to customers.
  4. Reosmods.com is the only place you can buy brand new Reos. (We're talking about Reos, right?)
  5. Rob stands behind his mods whether you purchase directly from him or from a private sale. Mod repairs usually run $10 or $20 plus shipping costs.
  6. It's confusing because you're just starting out and there is a lot of information to process and absorb.

If you buy quality batteries and a decent battery charger and an inexpensive digital multimeter to check their voltages every so often, and follow some basic guidelines of battery use and recharging, you have virtually nothing to worry about.

For all you first time reonauts. All you need is batterys, a charger and some ejuice.

Batteries I usually get from Bruce at clouds of vapor. You can get chargers there as well. A good basic charger is the wf-188, its a great value for the amount of batteries it charges. I recommend the aw imr 18650 for 3.7v and for you vv owners get a couple sets of the 18350.

I also tried bruces cloudpure organic juice all vg and the kona cream was awesome. N I don't like coffee vapes.

Use the code bigbuyer for 10% off everything.

Hope this helps and enjoy guys.

I didn't think about what Karen/nerak mentioned. If you start your own thread you can easily refer back to it for all the answers. Give it a try :)

You can ask here too but the advantage of starting your own thread would be having all the information in one place.

Kristin I think she can find that people have already started threads and the answers are there. That first section of the index is for people thinking about purchasing a REO. There just might be some things she can find there that she has not thought of as of yet.

Thank you all again! I have been reading many threads and watching video links within those threads in the mod forums and I am pooped out. You guys have answered my questions as well and I have a better understanding now. I will definately come back here and ask advice about what battery, charger and accessories to get before I make my purchase of a mod.

Have a great night all :vapor:

Yeah what Tripp, Karen and other have said. Look...do what you feel comfortable doing. You could go get a decent starter kit of some kind like a eGo or a Volt and then find yourself buying upgrades after upgrades trying to find that perfect PV spending boo-hoo bucks like I and others have OR you can get a REO now and cut all the wasted $$ & time. In the long run its cheaper way to go. If I had all the $$ from starter 510s, Egos, Tornados, Mr. Puffers, Tougher Puffers, Wetboxs, SaborTouch plus all the different batteries and chargers and attys..etc...etc. I could have bought 10 REOs. So its up to you. You can take the slow country backroads or save gas & time and hop on the freeway! :)

U know what is a major draw for people seeking reos. Aside from being the best bottom feeder, wood mod, and various other things. It's you guys. One new person asks a question and people are clamoring to answer it. Before u know it they got 5 people dropping knowledge on them. I asked a question in another suppliers thread about high voltage vaping on genisis style attys and the answer n attitude i got was ugly. Elitist to some degree. And the builder seemed to encourage it. He sure as hell didn't help. As if it was beneath him. Know what? I ain't buying that product. It may be awesome but I will not spend my money and be treated like they did me a favor. I will in fact buy every other pv like his or build one myself but not purchase anything from him.

Bottom line is the reonauts rock!! You buy a REO cuz it just hands down works. But you hang around for the community. True story

Just hearing the metal mods are milled from blocks of alum would explain the prices, lol. I am familiar with the cost of alum as well as labor to mill it. Oh, and don't get me started on the cost of anodizing, lol. That sounds like a lot of man hours go into those pretty boxes and I do understand the prices now.

So these REO Mods are well crafted, hand made, USA, Custom PV's by one supplier, they hold an actual bottle of juice, you can change the batteries without having to buy a whole new unit, less overall maintenance, more power/vape!

I like that very much and it explains alot!

I do believe I will be getting me one real soon!!!
