I'm so sorry to hear about everyone's back pain! When I get back pain I feel like crying. Sometimes I do :)
The only thing that works for me when I'm like that is heat and pain pills! I've been to a chiropractor too. They tried to keep getting me to come back saying it would take multiple visits. When he would crack it, it would feel better for the day and then return. This kept repeating until I stopped going.

I'm right there with you, I have had back problems since I was a teen, but never as bad as it has been this past month/month and a half. It has been excruciating! I have thought before that maybe a chiro could do some good, but I saw one after I was in a wreck and it really didn't help at all. I finally asked my GP about it 3 weeks ago, and he sent me to a Physical Therapist. The first week I felt better, the 2nd week no change, this last week has been horrible. I haven't decided if I am going back or not. I do understand that different chiropractors use different methods, and the one I saw maybe just wasn't that good.

I went to a chiro for 9 months after a car accident when I was 18 (car in front of us stopped, we stopped, full size truck behind us did not and the trunk was in the backseat!) Anyway, the way he adjusted my back caused my back to become reliant on the adjustments. He did one last strong adjustment (that popped back out of place as soon as I stood up!) before releasing me, as he couldn't get paid by insurance until I finished going. And then I walked like an old lady-hurt to get up from sitting, once I was sitting I couldn't stand, etc. I got over it but the first couple of days were miserable :(

Then about a year later, I went to a different chiro. 4 or 5 times and I was good to go. The last year or so my back has been acting up again, but hey, last time I went to him was the summer of 2000 :D can't complain there. so yeah, a good chiro makes all the difference!

I feel for all three of you. I had a lumbar fusion done in the mid 90's. It was so much better for a few years. I have always had a curve in my spine. I found out that there is a 1 inch difference in the top of my hips. So it makes one leg longer. Two disc are now acting up. My hip is hurting from the one leg that gets most of the pressure. I am so glad that I have pain meds for my neck. Sometimes I need to use them and the muscle relaxer for my back pain.

Chiro's can be very helpful. But it takes 2-3 visits a week for a long time. At first it causes more pain. I know if I go to expect the next day to be on pain meds. I am no longer going because I can't do it.

If ice works for you that is the best. Heat relaxes muscles but then they can get really tight and cause more pain. I had spasms once when heat was applied and had to lay down for almost an hour before I could walk.

Take care of yourself. Use what you must. Hang in there. (huggs)
I have a curve in my spine too-chiro says it is possible it was there before and never caused a problem, but most likely due to the car accident (my shoulder was screwed up too, thanks to the seat belt...my neck too. lol) I have one shoulder lower than the other and on that side, the hip is higher than the other. Kinda weird! The second chiro I went to had this thing where he marked top of each shoulder, top of each hip and then I moved away and got to see how big of a difference there was, it was crazy! I wish I could afford the chiro again, it takes me awhile to get out of bed comfortably in the mornings (and sometimes I have to make myself get up even in pain, if we are running late!)

Back problems are EVIL!

Tonight was band night. My son is now officially signed up to rent to own a trombone! He gets it July 3rd. Hubby was sneaky though-couldn't get a hold of my dad (who, ironically, called me when I got to the school because he had a voicemail from me from this morning-but no missed calls!) so hubby stayed home with youngest cuz he was wore out from work.

Well, we had to set up payment plans tonight. And it requires a signature. So guess who got stuck making the payments for the next 3 years??? ME! BUT I had a check from him, so he paid for the books, stand, cleaning kit, and first months rental. Cost him about 77 bucks, it will cost me 37 a month. ugh.

Anyway, that was my excitement for the evening. Oh, and I told my dad that after i drop kids off at school I am coming to get him to make him get a new phone! He tried to give reasons why that won't work (its in my mom's name, etc) and I told him his contract is long over with, he can make his own, and he shouldnt' have to pay a "credit fee" for bad credit since they have had this service for almost 10 years! NO EXCUSES OLD MAN!!!! lol

Severe thunderstorm watch here. Had a nice one roll through. Looks like more coming. Nothing bad though. I can take some lightning and thunder, blowing wind and rain!

We are supposed to get severe thunderstorms possible tomorrow after 7 pm. Fun fun! I will be at work, so hopefully that means we can get the heck outta there faster!

Always fun with kids renting band equipment! Hope he sticks with it.

Hope your Dad gets that phone issue fixed. That would be a relief for you.

As you should be. :thumb: I like uniqueness (one of a kind) and that what you got!

Everyone with back pain I hope you all can find some relief if not thru a Chiro, surgery or some excellent drugs. Healing thoughts to you all.

For those in in the tornado area...STAY SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!

wooooo had a gluten free no meat pizza burrito tonight. MAN DID IT SUCK! I am shocked at the suckage. Also, it was all fally aparty before I even got it out of the microwave. (Just kinda mad I bought another one of that brand) I did an around the world with veggie/vegan micro burritos this evening on the way home. I have ot find something I can shove in the freezer at work, marked as mine, that I can just pop in and eat on days I forget to bring something. Today I had Amy's Original Veg Burgers. Pretty good and had a nice spice to them. Tomorrow it is fake meet burrito and fake meat and fake cheese burrito.
