No bottom feeding atty yet. No, I haven't tried the REO out yet.

I have looked at the offerings at Reomods.com, but I can't afford nearly $50 for an atomizer.

What is your vaping preference ? 10- 12 Watts ? 50 Watts ?
Single coil ? Dual Coil ? Exotic coil conglomeration ?
Your vaping style would help us point you in the right direction. Also, could you describe / post a picture of your new (to you) Reo Grand ? Older models require different attachments than the newer Reos.
Aaand ... Welcome to Reoville !

Thanks for the welcome, folks. :)

Currently vape a 0.6 ohm dual coil (simple coils) Velocity clone RDA on a mech, or at 30 watts on my RX200. I like a direct lung draw with a wide bore drip tip. Probably doesn't matter to me if I use a single or dual coil on a Reo.

I'm not able to post a pic currently, but it was purchased by the original owner in December of 2014. It is a low profile model, and has an updated 510 connector.

You can run your Velocity clone on a LP Reo easily. It might not drain as well as other atties, but it's cheap and it comes with a bottom feed pin, so you just unscrew the solid one and replace it with that to turn your atty into a bottom feeder.

IMHO, from a historical and durability perspective, I now have the top three mods made within the last six years which should last me a lifetime of service.

2 - Silver Bullets
2 - Provari 2.5
1 - Reo Grand

I am vapocalypse ready. :sneaky:

I do have some experience with a bottom feeder mod. 2 - 3 years ago I used a VMod XL from Vapage. It was a very inexpensive bottom feeder I purchased when it was 50% off the usual retail price. You can only use proprietary 510 drip atomizers or cartomizers with this device. Because of its design, you couldn't put a rebuildable dripper on it. I miss that pyrex drip tip, it was one of my favorites. :(

Many of you oldtimers know my name from elsewhere on the forum. I'll probably be spending some time here in the lounge as I am now a Reonaut!! An ECF buddy pay-it-forwarded a gently used Reo Grand to me a few days ago. I'm still looking for an inexpensive bottom-feeding RDA to go with it. Glad to join the group.

Welcome, Bad. Great to see you here. You are a great addition to an already awesome group.

Hi Bad, so glad to see you here! I'm relatively new to REOville myself, so we're both in good company.....we may be late to the party, but we're at the party! :) :)

You were one of the first to welcome me to ecf, in response to a new member post on batteries. :). Thanks for that! You will love the Reo. And yup, you've got all bases covered.

I would say that an RM4 (Atomic ?), RM8 (Derringer ?), or even a Cyclone / Cyclops might suit your vaping needs. I am not sure that you would be happy with an RM2 or a Chalice III.
If you surf the classifieds you can occasionally catch someone selling of BF Atty's.
I just checked my junk file, I have a couple standard RM2's to spare, but you would prefer a LP Atomizer for appearance and a different atty for dual coils around 30Watts anyways.

Great to have you as part of the family!! I imagine with what ST said you'll use the velocity. I vape about like you now since I found SS wire. I love the derringer. Rob sells it as an RM8 but @Paramaniac413 found some at FT that she ordered, so she can give you links if you want, I think she said what she found is a velocity style deck and a way to BF them easily.

Two clone Atty's I'd recommend are the NarDA and Hastur v2 then buy a package of 3mm bottom feed pins from FDV. Just need to trim them a bit. Cutting wheel dremel. Under $30 for both and the pins.

Both great RDAs and really over-fill proof pretty much.

One of our ECF members messaged me and told me to pick a Reomizer from Reomods.com and they would take care of me. I chose the Reomizer 10 because it looks like the Velocity build deck that I am familiar with.

ECF is such a wonderful generous community.

Yes, a very long time! If I'm not mistaken, I am the individual that steered you to look at the Reo in the first place. How strange that it has taken me this long to get my own.
