One feature that I miss about the P67 - I liked being able to give the Grand the weekly bath. I was able to completely clean up any drips and spills from filling the new bottle or if my SS feed tube loosened. I liked to wash the contacts and springs before putting a little De-Oxit on them.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a washable replacement (delrin?) coming soon for the one part we can't now wash -
right, @earthrocker*72 ??
I'd probably want one - I don't often need to, but I would prefer the option to give it a bath...

Why can't you do this will the P67? I don't own one but I have Minis and I love this about my choices in bottom feeders - able to dunk the whole thing in water and swipe off and go...

This bit, unlike a grand, has the positive contact kind of "in a frame" and is made of WOOD!!
No soaking!

Over-harvested the delrin trees?

Seriously, did Rob say why he went with wood in the P67?

I don't know that he ever said. But just making a guess: So that he could make the inserts 'in house' with his mill; instead of subbing them out to an injection molder.

I remember something about the insert in a video that rob made, where they kept breaking on him.:2c:

I have 2 grands at the moment. The first was bought in Feb 2014 and the other was from a trade in Nov 2015 and neither has had an actual bath to this day. They have been wiped out a couple times and blown out with the nozzle from the air compressor, but thats it. I think the biggest reason for not bathing them is I am very OCD about them when they get a little dirty and clean them on the spot. I will also clean the insides when filling the juice bottle also. I recently changed all my contacts in both to solid silver and haven't put any De-Ox-It at all on them. Haven't needed to as yet.

I'm the same way about my REOs. In addition to my Woodvils, I have 4 Grands and 2 P67s. I've yet to bathe any of them. I've never had reason to. If I have a leaking juice bottle or tube, I look for the source right away and clean it up. I actually haven't had a leak of any kind since converting the Grands to the new 510s. I used to get a drip every once in a while in my black ano, at the tube connector, prior to having it converted. I clean the contacts every once in a while, put Deoxit on them, and that's about it. I rarely even pull the tube off.

So you don't buy much from the classifieds I take it then...

Good to see you zmauls! You need a press to fit the new 510, so maybe just send it in is a better solution. Knowing how you vape, you'll want a heavier duty pin although it's going to make it harder to push the button.

But on the cloud-chasing builds, it makes sense.

T

I've had silicon covers over the bottoms of my buttons for years, making the push a little lighter as it places the positive contact closer to the battery. I imagine the heavy duty contact in cahoots with the new 510 might need a bit of a break in, but lord knows that goes quick for a guy like me. I just got in contact with Rob. I'll be sending out one Reo at a time, starting ASAP for the new 510's.

The RM8 is my personal favorite of the newer RBA's. I still predominantly use the RM2 or the Chalice III, but when I want a little extra oomph, I will use the Derringer with a pair of 2.2 ohm coils (1.1 total) to put a little extra into my vape.

Good to know! Thanks for the info!

MadMan Z. What is up brother? If you send me a PM I'll enlighten you.

PM'd my dude.

Also, since we're all sharing... He's my current set up. Nothing fancy. :)

So, I'm the only one that once a month I take the delrin off and put the REOs in a hot bath? I can't stand the thought of having eliquid under that delrin just sitting there getting nasty. If you have bought a use REO - you never know if someone else ever cleaned it out or not...and trust me - until you see one with 2 years worth of gross...eewww can't talk about it.

I rinse them a few time a week but I do dry them/leave the over night on a towel to air dry. Glad I haven't bought a P67 yet then.

If I bought a used REO from someone else, I certainly would take it apart and give it a good cleaning, inside and out. No doubt it's a good idea.

Lost/misplaced the white mouthpiece that goes on my Origen Little 16. REO Grand is feeling neglected. Anyone know where I can get the mouthpiece or one that fits?

I looked around and probably found the same results as you did. I can't find a single place world wide that is selling the mouthpiece. If there is a clone out there, or anyone having found a "this also fits" no one is identifying or reporting it that I saw.
