I'm getting ready to order a pretty new door and some spare parts. I have a few questions.
The spare bottles. The picture shows one bottle that looks like it already has a hole in it to put the tube through and another bottle that is intact (no hole). Do the spare bottles have a hole already or not? I would assume not.
The magnets. The picture show a stack of magnets and one single magnet. Do they sell one magnet at a time, matched sets, or what?
I'm only seeing one size spring for metal REOs. I'm assuming the Grand and Mini take the same sized spring then, right?
Repair kits. There are repair kits for both adjustable and old style, Grand and Mini. Reading from the Grand adjustable kit: "Everything needed to rebuild your reo grand with the newer 510 connection."
But, the pictures of the kits show only the bottle/tube kit and the spring and positive contact (for the newer adjustable 510 reo) and only the bottle/tube kit, spring and positive contact, and button assembly (for the old style reo). So, the adjustable 510 connection has to be bought separately, right?
Adjustable 510 connection. They sell the adjustable 510 connection, center post, and grub screw separately. But, the center posts offered are for the Grand or for "P67s mini reos and woodvils". No commas. I assume that should read "P67s, Mini REOs, and Woodvils.
And, I can't remember. What is the reducer tube used for?

Bottles: use the existing cap and just swap the bottle. However drilling a hole through the cap is not tough and it's something a few do and called 'the bottle mod' imaginatively enough. It also allows you to dispense with the o-ring in the cap.*

Springs: Any failsafe is better than none - but then it hardly matters which you use; you typically either use one or don't!
The 510: you will have difficulty fitting it yourself which is why most people return the mod for that service. What you really want to achieve is a state of Zen where you have the newest contacts, firing pins, and ease of maintenance for your particular device.

The reducer tube is for those of us in warm! climates and it stops the Reo autofeeding, which can happen in the heat. It's used by stuffing it in the bottom of the liquid feed tube in your bottle. Personally, i've never needed to use it - but if you use a high PG juice - you may need to. My juice is a grimy mix of VG and nosegrease and so it's thick enough to not dribble everywhere.
Are you going in the right direction?

You're right. I doubt I could do it myself anyway. But, I think I should maybe get some spare grub screws. I assume they could fall out and get lost, right? I'm pretty good at losing things.supertrunker said:

As T said, this is not something you should attempt at home unless you have the press to do it. The grand takes a different size pin than the P67/Mini's 2.1 & 14500/Woodvil

i forgot the magnets, but the pro tip is to stick it to the other magnet you want it to stick to to begin with and then mark the back part you can see with a marker pen. That marked bit goes first in the Reo door.
Unless you like fighting doors constantly of course. It's fabulous when you reverse them by mistake and you get the levitating door.

I got a pretty blue SL Mini door, a 3ml and 6ml bottle/tube kit, a black delrin button and one spare spring and screw.
Maybe next time I can resist a new door and finish getting my spares. We'll see.
I'll post a pic when I get it and put it on my black Mini. It's such a beautiful blue. And, my first SL door.

Thanks...what a great venue. Lake right behind it. More people at that show than live in the adirondacks. Holy experience. I feel dead this morning and all i did was rock out. Imagining how the people who "partied" are feeling right now...
That was such an amazing show. Holy cow. Im speechless. Only thing ive seen i liked better was Tool but then thats my favorite band. Rob Zombie live is a SHOW though. Frickin aliens being crowd surfed

Oh yeah...HILARIOUS. And i totally understand if not but if anyone here is a fan of Korn, man, live they are a whole other thing...and they played 2 songs of their upcoming album, SO HEAVY....at least live...so heavy a person simply cannot stand still.
The venue is supposedly awesome. It just opened last year. I haven't seen it yet. But my Daughter, who lives in Syracuse, has been to a couple shows there.
Up until last year, the Fair concerts used to be in front of the racetrack grandstand. But it was torn down last year.
