Out of curiosity, I ordered 25' of 27 g. 316L ss last night to give it a try. What Kind of coil set-up do you run in your RM2 with the SS? Oplholik's response does make me wonder about the practicality if I need that many more wraps. I currently use 8 wraps of 27 g. kanthal on a 1.65 mm lock needle metering at 1.0 ohm.

I use 317L not the 316L so mine will be a little different. My build is 28 gauge, 2.5 mm machine screw (spaced coil), 11 wraps at 1.1 Ohm with RxW to wick. This makes a coil that is very close to the width of the two crews on the RM2, I consider it a good fit - no shorts on the cap.

So I guess this happened last night in another forum on ECF and it pains me that misinformation like this gets spread...

The web site is still going, and he's there to repair, and whatever else you need ... but he's done with making any more Reo's for now (unless he changes his mind later).
He's going to make guitars now

I can't get the quote feature on Rob's post because the Reo forum is closed, but I will just copy and paste the context here...

"I am not going out of business but I am slowing down . I will still be selling mods doing repairs no worries on that front . If you need to contact me you can email me anytime . I have given up many things in life to run this business . I am ready to semi retire and work on some other projects . I no this is going to bother some people its not my intent . I have met lots of great people here on ecf some will be my friends forever . Ecf has been good to me I am a big fan of ecf . I am down sizing it will be only me running the shop shortly . I thought it was only fair I didn't want you to show up and find the forum gone with no warning ."

and here is a link to said post... Closing the forum

"There was a time years ago I was definitely a big help to many people that couldn't quit smoking without a device like a reo . Of course that is not the case any more and lets not forget I am still making mods just not as many."

and here is a link to said post... Closing the forum

It is true that Rob is going to take some time in his semi-retirement and will be using said time to create a new guitar, but he is not done making Reo's at all, as he pointed out in his last thread...

Just taking a moment to set the record straight was all.....

Yeah, I saw that piece of inaccurate information in another forum as well.

Good clarifications. Plus, I recall a post regarding having SUBSTANTIAL inventory as also being helpful in his ability to take a bit of a break. So, feel free to grab a couple Reo's if you're worried....but ReosMods is still around.
:D
I believe he said he probably has about 1,000 units on hand.

Here's what Rob said on 2/21/16:Reo P 67 prototype
I haven't counted but I have allot of mods built if I had to guess I would say roughly 1000 mods not counting p 67s could be more many of these don't have doors installed . I have piles of doors as well . Is it bad only if I don't sell them

Good Morning Reonauts. Easing into the first cup of coffee. Need to start getting ready to head out on a two-night run to Alliance/ Canton. I keep hoping that some rich relative will leave me a fortune, but then I remember there are no rich relatives. So I guess those big wheels will just keep turning a little while longer...

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)
Can't wait til you can play this one for mamaw!! Not sure but the winnebago though, ya might wanna stay put! lol
