Just talked to Rob this morning. The button on one of my P67s is sticking. Yesterday, I had to quickly pull out the battery, because it continued to fire, after I had released the button. Both of my P67s are from the first release. I guess that's why the most recent release has an added spring in the button. Anyway, it went on the shelf until I get the upgraded parts. My other one seems ok, but I don't trust it. I'm going to upgrade both of them.
Damn, you're probably wise to upgrade both. The spring loaded button feels great. Can't imagine it ever sticking. Sorry that happened!

He said this is why he added the spring, on the most recent version. He said I could send them in. But I asked if it was something I could do myself. So, I'm waiting for an invoice, and he'll send me the new parts.

Are the upgraded buttons an easy install?

I dunno. Doesn't sound like it should be too hard. Just have to take the tube and nipple off, probably the wood block too. The worst that can happen is, if I screw it up, I can send it in. I figure I'll try it first.

I kind of want to do that - AND get the delrin insert - but I'd send it in...
Hard to decide to though, when it's still running perfect...

We talked about the PEEK insert. But from what I've read, the wood handles low Ohm builds better. Although I don't build super low. The only disadvantage to the wood is if you get it wet. But I'm not a REO washer. So I figure I'll just stick with the original wood insert.

Fortunately, I have 6 Woodvils, 4 Grands, and the Li'l Pinch to struggle along with, until I fix the P67s.
Sometimes, being a 'pack rat' like me is a good thing.:)

I'm with you on that Rule...I have nine Reos... four are my "back-ups"...

better safe than sorry as the old saying goes.

Thanks, this motivated me to finally contact Rob to send in my P67's for upgrades/hammetone issues. First time since I've had a P67 I wont be able to use it and now Im sending all 3 in. Ive got a couple 2015 woodvils, a couple grands, a few mini's and a couple old school woodvils to bring back into rotation as needed while the P67's are getting their much deserved spa treatment. Guess this is prime time to see what needs to stay and what can find a new home.

Mine would stick and had it looked at along with a peek block put in. I just looked at mine and the button is spring loaded which I did not know he did. I guess I didn't pay attention to the invoice.

Put a smaller diameter drip tip on my O-16. Much better for me. Love this atty.

I've been resisting getting the O-16. I just received Hadaly #1 last week, following its extended tour of Florida, thanks to USPS. Ordered my 2nd Friday. After a little experimenting, I'm pretty impressed with it. After having to temporarily shelve my P67s, until I get the new buttons, I have the Hadaly on a Woodvil.
Fortunately, all of my Woodvils got their semi annual oiling, inside and out, last weekend.

Yeah, I managed to get the Syner stubby tapered drip tip on my O-16 now, but it doesn't sit flush - looks dumb, but much better vaping!

I put an old DT on my clone, doesn't look too bad, I also got the dia. of the beauty ring down to 21mm, and now the door will slide up. I have two more of these on order, and will probably get a couple more to put away for backup. I didn't think I'd ever find anything that I liked more than the Chalice, or RM2.
Rob at Reos mods outta jump on these.

Go for one ckquatt, they are a good match for a Reos.

I wonder what a good ole Loki Labs Router Bit would look like on top of that thing! I may have to snap one up! I'm really diggin the deck on that thing!

I don't what my Nuppin to think I'm cheating on her!

We were headed to Woodstock, Vt to have dinner with my in laws, but turned around because of the wet snow. With 35-40 mph traffic we would have been late for lunch, & the return drive over Middlebury Gap vs. a leisurely Adirondack evening was an easy decision
awwwwww glad y'all stayed safe, but did you at least get something nice for supper???

These were the taters I took to my sister's...and they are all gone !
Now you know better than to post that without sayin what ya put in em. I see the fried onions, and oh I dunno, raisins? Dried cranberries? what the heck are them thangs? But what all did ya mix into the taters themselves? Look yummy!!

Yup, homemade leak detector. A length of 2" pvc with a styrofoam cup taped to it upside down and a stethoscope taped to the cup.

Very glad you found your leak........but although rule seemed to get what ya do wiff dis...... what da heck do ya do wiff dis? lol Best I can come up with is poke the pvc in the ground all over yur yard til ya hear water.......but that seems silly, and what do ya need the cup for? Like a reverb chamber?

Similar...not sure how it is done.

I'll have you know that I really sacrificed to check that for you. Took the atty of the mod for 5 seconds, which is 5 seconds of chain vaping time on the O-16. Painful but I love you.
what a Prince you are! Way to take one for the team!!

If you'd left it off for 10 seconds, you mighta figgered out how to change it! hehehe

Instead of Black Friday I'm going White Friday today. Got this from Vapin Art just thing morning. Need to fiddle with it a little more but the initial build is good...would rather have the coil and airflow on the other side. May need to sort a tighter drip tip too. All good for now.

Nice!!

Man that's sharp!!! What RDA is that!

It's the one we've been yakkin about for the last 64 pages.......you really gotta hang around more :pervy: good to see ya. Since we prolly won't see til ya after...........

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Happy Valentine's Day and St Patrick's Day too hehehe

there.......I'm covered now.......I should probably see ya before 4th of July, so I'll wait on that one :D

got some new britches today kinda tight at first but loosened up after a while comfy
oh good..........glad they loosened up!

So in honor of Black Friday and not going out shopping, I decided I still wanted something new and was bored, so this happened... i didn't get pics of my other grand, but did this one...

kewl! So which did ya get? The atty, or the mod, or both??

This is turning into an NCIS weekend on Netflix. My career is "early to bed and early to rise", so I never get to watch primetime TV. Never realized Mark Harmon could carry a lead role, but he does well with it. Pauley Perrette is a trip as a forensic specialist. Shame the good looking brunette took a bullet to the skull end of season two. Kinda partial to brunettes. Been married to one for 31 years. Still, a good series.
I have watched so many of those, but have ones I've missed in between.......haven't see the last several seasons at all, but I've had it in my watch list on NF for quite awhile. One of these days I'm gonna hunker down and watch em all the way through.

I've been watching this. New to me...lol.

Edit: Ah, here's one doesn't need a link
7604.gif
That is kewl! and a big howdy do to you too!

Given my age, I thought this was a visual field test for glaucoma. I started trying to "click" every time I saw a light. (some will get it)
Roflmao!!! Did you win the stuffed unicorn???

www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUQwpwZjPgg

Thrown together a bit too quickly, not as neat as I'd like it but...man it's been a long time since I made a vid, so - whatever :D

that's so nice with all the water. Couldn't watch the whole thing though. All the wind and that water looked so cold. I'm already freezin! Love your guitar playin though! Was that a percussion thingy at one point, or wuz someone knockin on yur door?? it was right durin and after you showed yourself playing. Not far after that was as far as I got.

Yeah, sigh...I'm 63 and my spring ain't what it used to be either.:)
hehehe sorry ya got spring issues. I know folks talking before about how a spring can get like that. I don't remember exactly what causes it. But maybe the batt getting too hot but not enough to cause a hard short. But a spring can partially collapse, or even just the top a little. The spring will still likely do it's job in that shape.......but for 5.00 it's best to replace it if ya can.

I intend to go find a frozen waterfall and climb it in the car once i get it back, :D
uhmmmmm just so yanno...........Rob does NOT sell spare spinal cords!!! :p

Thanks Tim for getting me back in the REO game. I've sold off almost all of my mods in preparation for my vaping end game but wanted to be sure I put a REO back in my now minimized rotation to see me through to the end. Love this thing!

VfFKbbL.jpg
Howdy stranger! Glad you're back into Reos. That's a nice one there!

I've collapsed one coil in my how-ever-many years of vaping with rebuild-able attys and it was caused by the atty center pin becoming recessed to the point where a short occurred. Just a heads-up.:)
oh wow uhmmm how does that cause it to happen ezackly??

Saw one of those today, but I couldn't get a clear shot.
laugh rofl o is rollin.gif
............. I mean............shame on you!!! hehehe

I had a plain ole Joye 510 atty drop my Woodville spring...and I still need to get it replaced !
oh wow......don't even know how that would happen. But there is a lot I don't know. As y'all well know :D Not a baby reonaut anymore, but still a toddler :)

i have always built my coils on the basis of rampant paranoia and test them about 3 times and always with the atty fully assembled.
Same here. I do dryburn on the reo and rewick without retesting, but I do look to make sure the coils haven't jumped off someplace they aint supposed to be. I have more issues moving and distorting the coils by removing the atty so I just leave it on there once I get it set!

This is what I have. Best part is the name: ORTDS. "ohm reader that doesn't suck" lol.
love it!

This is in no way shape or form worth watching. I encourage you not to. However I like making vids, it's fun and my mission is complete here
got this one pulled up to watch later. Jup a glutton for punishment! I enjoying your vids. Now that I have a cell that can take a video.......I'll have to put that on my to do list and have my son show me how to upload it. I'll give y'all a quicky!! :sneaky:

I actually like the Tab better than the more expensive Fire Meter. But I use either, depending which one I grab first. The 510 connector is better quality on the Fire Meter, and the box is heavier and more solid. But I like the switch better on the Tab. Accuracy wise, they both read about the same.
that is very interesting! I would have thought the USA would be more accurate so have had that fire meter on my "would love to have one someday" list. Now I'll take it off, and just look at getting the CM tab one someday. I've been warned off the geekvape one which is cheaper than the CM.

oh wow sorry you're having button issues, but you talked to Rob. and someone else did too. Did he say to either of you how he's doin after his knee surgery???
