The Sloth was right on with this one.

I ventured a clone @ $10 after Sloth's post-Stumpy recommendation. I need to adjust. I ordered a slew of NT at the same time. So, between NT's 50/50 when I'm used to my DIY 85/15 and a new atty, I get sloppy messes one after another. I'd guess it's a good/great addition, but I gotta retrain myself on squonk-pressure.

I'd be doing the same probably if I tried squonking 50/50. I'll stick with my 80/20 DIY. I'm pretty used to it, and rarely over squonk. Although I can't say it never happens. Us old people get forgetful.

I switched from max VG to 50/50 a while back, and had a bit of adjustment for sure. Now I rarely oversquonk but it always happens from time to time no matter what's in the bottle :D

I've thought about dialing the VG down, primarily b/c I always end up ordering VG 2-3x as often. Then I bought a gallon of each. Back up go the %'s!

I like low TH too. If I didn't have so much nic already in the freezer, I'd certainly order some. Unfortunately, I'm about out of room. Ms Rule constantly reminds me of it, every time she goes grocery shopping.
Me, too. I've been diying a year now, & have gone thru less than a half liter. Now have 4 1/2 frozen.

I like big air, at least RM8 Derringer wide open air. I know this hack job is a mutilation/abomination but it is functional. I Dremeled with a cutting wheel on both sides and it Breaths!
same here! Don't want any less air than the rm8 wide open. I loved my nuppins for so long, but the air on the derringer killed my nuppin love. Is that the 016 you ventilated?

Good Morning Reonauts. Mamaw's Sunday Breakfast included egg(beaters), (turkey) bacon, homemade biscuits and cinnamon apple slices.
Cinnamon apple slices ??? Actually, it was a nice touch.

Have a Safe and Blessed Sunday :nun:
Love me some baked apples, but turkey bacon should just not be a thing lol Nice y'all are trying to eat well though.

I had a great day!

Took my 4 year old to her 7:00am hockey practice (I coach), picked up some groceries on the way home, made a big greasy bacon and egg breakfast for the family, baked cookies with the wife and kids in the afternoon, lounged on the couch most of the day watching Christmas movies and basically doing nothing else. Very rare that I get to hang out and basically be a lump! Lol.
that's wonderful!

I love the snow. Its mostly the reason I left California after 32+yrs
glad you like it. I did when I was a kid, but always hated the cold that came with it. :D

ordered a gallon of lime juice to make limades :)
yummmm but I'd need a gallon of marschino cherry juice to go with it.

Up here we are in lake effect snow period.
Ok.....so am I correct in thinking that the reason lake effect snow is so bad is because it picks up soooooo much moisture from the lakes that it just dumps a ton of snow in a fairly short period of time? I've always heard that term, and that's what I think it means, but not certain.

christmas came a little early for me daddy gettin a new quad cpu computer :)
wahooooo! can't remember when you said it gets there. I wanna say Fri, but not sure.

I'm like Kas ... except I freeze them in the liter size, and I break down one liter at a time into the smaller sizes. When those are empty, I break down another liter.
I don't do them all at once simply because of the space it takes.
The clear bottles your using are fine, but put a sock on them for padding, and to keep them "in the dark" :p
This!

Me too. Got mine last week and it has an SSD hard drive which is super fast and an intel i5 chip. Pretty good for photo editing. Ive been limping along on a Kindle Fire tablet but now I'm back in business and able to post pictures again, which I'll probably bore you all with.
Very kewl!!

When I'm ready to thaw out and use a new bottle, I transfer it from the glass bottle to a squeeze bottle. I have my nic in one, PG in another, and VG in yet another. I've been mixing by weight, rather than volume. Much easier, once you get the hang of it. No clean up, no syringes, no needles, no graduated cylinders.
This is where I wanna get. I've got the scale......need some chef bottles from Sams. 5.00 for 6 of them. At first I was thinking I maybe didn't wanna put the nic in one....but I use so much nic at a time that it won't be in there for long.......and even at 100mg it really isn't all that much nic in the pg

So - you freeze your nic in the original bottles they come in? I'd much prefer to do that, but I thought for some reason it had to be transferred to glass before freezing.
According to Kurt Kistler it really should be transferred to glass. It will oxidize in the plastic. I have had some from MFS in plastic bottles that hasn't really darkened much, but got a 2 liter jug from them that turned really dark brown in just a couple months. that was very disappointing. it's still usable......just might taste a lil different and might have to use a bit more. But just looks awful.

When I got my first batch 3 years ago, I read that it was recommended to re-bottle the Nic in glass, and that oxygen can and will degrade the Nic. So I also purge the oxygen out, here is a pic I took of VT Nic I did on 2-16-2015. :)

KAS
what is that? Like a vacuum kinda thing? or something that tops the bottles off with argon or something to take the 02 outta the bottles?

I appreciate a hit like being kicked by a mule.
meeeeeeeeee tooooooooo that was the hardest thing when I started vaping was getting enough of a TH. I call it chest bump......cuz it's not the throat that needs hittin. I need that feeling in my chest/lungs like I got when smoking. Finally achieved it, but it was hard with vivi nova tanks etc and even less of a good thing before the vivi nova/nautilus tanks. Does make me wish I'd done Reos pretty much right off the bat, but was trying to learn sooooooo much that building and DIY just wasn't something I could deal with on top of trying to learn everything else that I thought I needed to know. lol

Total tangential topic: I just watched Wil Wheaton read a Choose Your Own Adventure book online and pick which way to go with the story based on the replies from his internet audience. That's a bunch of my childhood all wrapped into 45 minutes.
the bunch of your childhood meaning the books or the story lines that were chosen? I looked, but didn't find what it seems you're talking about. Do you have a linky link?

I'll probably dump out my 4oz Boston Rounds of MFS after they thaw.
oh that just hurts my heart to think of it just being dumped out. Dunno how much you have or if vape a vet or places like that can take nic or not, but hope you can find a good home for it. Also, I don't know for sure, but if you mean down the sink......might wanna check on how to get rid of it. down the sink prolly isn't a good idea

Morning Sterno, it's cold here this morning...

roflmao!!! I can relate. I do dishes and the hot water feels so good on my hands I just wanna crawl in the dishwasher with em to get nice and toasty!

Old Blue is back from the spa.

kewl!!! Glad it's back home where it belongs. Love that DT on the left just under the juice bottle.

After about a week of using the Origin16....I love it! It's perfect for a lazy oldbroad.

I don't have to make sure the airhole is lined up with the wick,I can start vaping in the morning with a small airhole then graduate to a larger one and then to two of them as my lungs dictate....

and...I haven't had to change the wick in about a week! A big plus!!!!
really glad you're loving it, and many of your vape issues are solved. Has it solved your issues with sometimes not being able to taste your juice?

I've been experimenting a lot with Heat Flux lately. Because of the fact that I only use REO mechanicals, and don't even own a regulated mod, it gets kinda interesting. I use an Ohms Law calculator on my phone, and always set 3.7 volts as the base for my calculation. Then I plug in the ohms for various coil resistances, and make Not of the watts. I then go to Steam Engine, and plug the resulting watts at the bottom, and read the Heat Flux result. I've found that the perfect HF value for me is between 270-275.
which app do you use on your phone? Is yours android or Iphone? I have a phone now (android) so do you or anyone know of a good juice calculator? I love ejmu for the computer. I see some on there........but what do y'all use? Is your ohms thingy the "vape tool" one?

WHOOSH! Right over my head!

The "bunch" was both the CYOA series of books, and Wil Wheaton, himself (as Gordie Lachance from Stand By Me, and Wesley Crusher from Star Trek: the Next Generation). The books were big for me as a grade schooler, everything else as it was released.

I've considered selling it to a DIY'r from the only B&M I go to. I try not to go there too often. It's gotten very very clique-y since I was a regular there a couple years back. As I age I find that to be more and more tiresome and reprehensible, though inevitable I s'pose.

kewl.......thanks for the link. I had my childhood quite some time before you had yours it seems :D Yours is much closer to my son's. I wasn't familiar with these books. I'll have to ask my son if he'd heard about em. I kinda think not cuz it was hard to get him to enjoying reading. He did love the "Hank the Cowdog" books......and actually even enjoyed a couple of Beverly Cleary books, which were from MY childhood. But what 8 yr old wouldn't love the Mouse and the Motorcycle??? hehehe

I'm with ya on cliquey crap. Couldn't stand it when I was a teenager and can't stand it now. Can't really say I've become less tolerant of it, cuz I didn't tolerate it well way back then! lol Hope you can find someone to sell or even give the nic to, better than down the drain! :)

I agree. The Sloth was right on with this one. I have 2 of the O16s in use now. Between the O16s and my Hadalys, I haven't been using anything else for the past week or so.

Nice to hear good things about the O16. I'll have to try it one of these days. Don't really have $100 to throw down on one single atomizer at the moment. Besides, I got many RM2's and RM3's to use, and they put off awesome flavor and hits. The RM3 gives a hit like a horse kick. :thumb: Because of it, I'm gonna have to drop from 18mg to 12mg.

I remember her books! Blast from the past!

We had a young Canadian writer named Gordon Korman that wrote Bugs Potter books about a drummer that I loved. Then the S.E. Hinton books.

I forgot how much I read pre-internet!

Yes, it's a $9 clone from China. It worked pretty well with the AFC ring removed but was a bit too airy and did not look good either.

Yep. The cold northwest winter winds pick up massive amounts of warm lake water and by the time those clouds are over my house they dump. lol

I never considered HF much but it's enlightening. I plugged in a few of my atty specs and discovered I like my .5 ohm Derringer at 247HF and my .6 ohm Maker at 176HF (such a smooth dense vape). I was at 510HF with the Maker for a while but was getting a frog in my throat even though there is a ton of air flow.

I think "lake effect" is the first words spoken by many babies born and raised in Buffalo...

Buffalo? Hah! Bush leaguers. The annual'Golden Snowball' award generally goes to Syracuse; except for that one time Rochester won. But I hear they cheated...somehow.

I've been experimenting with HF preemptively, for playing with different gauge wires, coil diameters, number of wraps, etc. I always use 3.7 volts as baseline, because that's the nominal volts for an 18650 battery. I then fool around with all the other variables, like wire gauge, material, number of wraps, coil diameter, etc., keeping in mind that I'm looking for 270-275 HF at 3.7v.
