i'd really like to hear Kay's thoughts on how important a tight nipple fit is and whether or not it affects the squonking, especially the return to the bottle.

How a tight nipple affects the squonking? I never heard it called THAT before.

I unscrew em. It's a bit different, had to develop the right angle and such...but I really don't like taking the tube off and on all the time.

I can't stop them from a little "seep" at the threads (yes, I did the whole pressurize thing when new) - but i just wipe the collar when I refill, it's not a LEAK, just a little seep. And I like the soft squonk enough that it's worth it to me.

I do NOT like the one super-expensive Sunbox bottle much. Too hard to unscrew...and maybe too soft...and doesn't fit in most of my stuff. Oh well.

Just got some of the soft bottles, to start converting my REOs to them. First day with them. I'm still undecided whether I'm going to like them or not.
Question for those who are using them: are you pulling the tube off the nipple in the mod to fill them? Or are you just unscrewing the cap, like with the smaller stock bottles?

I agree about the Sunbox bottles. Some folks rave about them. But with about 14 squonkers, and at $28 per bottle, it's more than I'm willing to invest in squonk bottles. The $6 REO bottles is fine, if I can make them work.
I do like the soft squonk. It's just that, as an old career pipefitter, I'm naturally averse to leakage.

I thought you were talking about the sunbox bottles. The Italian ones are much better IMO.

it must be the latest thing...I've finaly "cut the cable" and have just a small flat antennae that "sticks' to the wall and my tv is a "smart' one, so I have netflix, Amazon prime, Vudu ( which isn't good) and Youtube.

It's been around a couple of weeks and i don't miss cable tv at all...I get a few major channels and a weather station, tho, thru the small antennae.

that's pretty much what i've had for mebbe 3 years. i have a Roku and used a Playon app till it stopped working.

now, i have a Kodi box and i can watch pretty much all movies, tv shows and live sports over the internet. i mean ALL.

hell, as i type this i'm watching the Goiden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings-- my two hometown teams.

as long as your tv accepts an extra HDMI input, you're golden.

even under-$50 boxes from ebay/amazon should be serviceable.

Good Morning Reonauts, and a hearty Hello to Mama. Always good to see old friends drop by...
As far as REOS, Trust Rob. Always Trust Rob. Stock bottles, original paint/ finishes, everything is Trust Rob. And I am happy with that.
My new 'Toy' yesterday is an electric chainsaw. I am not down trees or clearing woodland, just trimming and pruning. Sounds ridiculous but it's enough tool for no more than I am doing. I am just getting tired of ducking/ bobbing/ weaving when I am on the riding mower.

Have a Safe and Blessed Sunday :nun:

Would you be able to watch the Super Bowl with this today? I'm interested!!!

i cannot operate the tv set-up in this house, which is why i watch everything on my computer!

HRH has 4 remote controls, because certain DVDs will only play on certain players because of the regional encoding. So European films have to be viewed on a particular player...except i don't know which one that is.
Then there's a set-top box and that has a lot of source options. It's not helpful that she has named that box 'Smurfie' rather than something about what it plays!

So i gave up and retreated to my office.

The trick is to make her think it's her idea when all along it's mine; we each have a computer room now and domestic harmony is the result!

i also managed to get out of buying a dining table, because that's the cat's room (took her a week before she 'thought that was a good idea of hers').

Sounds exactly like life in my house. The big, 60",$2000,Smart TV is in the living room, with 3 or 4 remotes, and I don't even know how to turn the thing on. I have my office/den, with my TV, computer, iPad, and Xbox. The dogs seem to migrate between the two places, from time to time. As for Mrs Rule and I conversing with one another, it's usually done by yelling from one end of the house to the other, or texting.
I think I may be allowed to watch the Super Bowl in the living room though; although I may get kicked out, depending. I'm rooting for Atlanta. She...the Pats.

I've tried watching stuff on the PC...just don't like it. I take it that the Kodi box can only play on the pc?

You can hook it up to your tv. I still have old style box sets so not up on all the how to's.
