Mixing my own juice got so much easier for me, once I started mixing by weight, that I kick myself for not going to it sooner. When I started mixing, about 5 1/2 years ago, nobody that I knew mixed by weight. Using syringes, graduated cylinders, etc. was the way everyone I knew was doing it; so it was the way I learned. I only started using weight a few months ago. It's so much easier, and clean up is minimal.
I just mixed my first bottle by weight a few days ago. Very simple. I might actually start playing with recipes againď

i agree mostly, but it does add another layer of calculation into things. If maths is not fun for you, then i can see benefits to the bucket-cooking method i outlined above.

The use of lower concentration nic is possibly beneficial just for the sake of safety until someone knows their way around making this stuff.

i've never paid for e-liquid.

i like to double check my calculations with a pen and paper, and everyone has their favourite calculators, but steam engine is fair enough.

I'm discalculic. A little like dyslexia only with math. Simple, basic math I'm fine with. Accounting, I'm good with. There is a point beyond that where I hit a wall. Literally. Nothing goes in & nothing comes out. I use e juice me up calulator & my scale & the bottles of flavoring/nic/pg/vg. Boom! It's juice! Literally nothing to wad, just put the bottles away & box up the scale.

Hey, MamaT

What hardware are your running the Kodi on? Also, your Add-On of choice? Exodus?

My wife and I recently moved to an island which, while rustic and remote(ish), has excellent internet - far better than in the city. Given the cable prices here, cutting the cable feels like the smart thing to do.

Sports would be the only thing I'd miss if we did it today. I can route netflix, amazon, crave (Canadian equivalent of Hulu), etc through a few devices already and I'm trying to source a good setup for live streaming games.

i spent around $100 on a box made by Matricom. it had good reviews, and it works pretty fine.

in retrospect, others have reported great results with this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MXZUWF...olid=IWILVK8S74FX&coliid=I14YTHXSTEY079&psc=1

if i buy a 2nd kodi box for the bedroom, it will be under $50.

i used Exodus primarily for a long time. Lately, I have been using Zen, which i think is a fork of Exodus.

the two main live sports add-ons i know of are Pro Sports and Sportsdevil. They are hit and miss, particularly if you are looking for your home feed's announcers.

more often than not, i end up using my browser for live sports. i've learned how to protect my browser from malware and popups (i hope). i have a pretty awesome stream for NBA games. for other sports i go to /www.reddit.com/r/XXXstreams/. after a while you get to know the good ones, and how to avoid the crap some try to foist on you. i often end up watching NFL and NHL via reddit links. they also offer the most college game options.

i cut cable 3 or 4 years ago. i watched 3 live NBA games earlier tonight, then watched several tv shows an hour or two after they aired on the east coast on my kodi box. now watching an HD movie that's still in theaters.

i used to work in anti-piracy before i retired. streaming is legal now in the US (as a consumer) but i suspect a law will be passed sometime soon. when that happens, the ISPs will get paid to detect it. Comcast will be able to detect my streaming...

so...

a cheap kodi box is a good investment NOW, even if it may not last all that long.

I'm glad you posted this. The last time I looked in the juice calculator section of Steam Engine, there was no option for weights. I checked it with some of my own weights for my ingredients in my notes, and it's pretty close.

I read on the FB page this morning where Todd was saying they are swamped with over seas orders, and they will be ramping up soon. They will be making as many P67's as Grands in the future. Sounds like they are doing great, which is good news. :)

Wow, great! Maybe one of these days I might end up with a P67! Hope they will be something commonly stocked. It'll give me a chance to save up for it.

I keep it pretty simple. But I do like math, and enjoy calculating stuff myself. I make about 250ml of base at a time. My base is 8mg/ml 80VG/20PG. I know that it weighs 1.194g per ml.
I've also weighed many of the flavors I use frequently.
As an example: suppose I wanted to make 30 ml of Blue Raspberry Slush, using my base and the OSDIY BRS flavor. I know from experience that I like 12% of the flavor.
12% of 30ml=3.6ml.
I know that BRS weighs 1.137g per ml
1.137g x 3.6 = 4.09g
So I weigh out 4.09g of BRS into my bottle.
30ml - 3.6 = 26.4ml
26.4 x 1.194g (the weight of my base) = 31.52g
So I add 31.52g of my base to my bottle.
Done, and the total weight should be 35.61g. It will come out within a couple hundredths every time.

I was talking to Rob this morning about some other stuff. The subject of P67s came up, and he did say that in a couple months, hopefully, the P67s will be regularly stocked on the site, just like Grands are.

Great! Makes me feel better and without the F5 pressure, and trying to save up quickly.

There may be a small release before then, in a couple weeks. But the regular stocking will happen in 2-3 months.

Whats up fellow Reonauts? Been browsing daily but been very quiet. I have officially made it 30 days now, all is still well, and no one has died as an end result... :headbang: :rickroll:

Good job! Give yourself a couple pats on the back. You deserve it.
But, it's good to see you still sticking around in the forums.
