In a clumsy attempt at an analogy; I liken it to how I feel about spicy food, which I love. There's a difference between 'eyes watering' hot, and flavorfully spicy.

Well I am a terrible awful horrible doggie mommy. Gave my shepherd a bath. She wasn't happy. She even growled at me. But she's now a clean and fluffy puppy despite her extreme distaste for clean, soapy water.

Good mommy. Our pug is going through a hard time. He has cancer and opportunistic infections and is generally going down fast. It's rippin' my heart out. Our Australian cattle dog senses that he's vulnerable and keeps attacking him, which is extremely unusual for her. I don't understand it. She's usually a sweetie pie.
