Whoo hoo, picked up a Chalice III today off the classies. I have wanted one of these for quite some time, and today things just kinda fell into place. Can't wait to try it on one of my Reos. :)

Any air hole mod needed for DL? I know Spydro likes them and he's a DL guy.

Good for you!! Love when the stars align on Reo paraphernalia! I have one and really like it (am using it right now on my old everyday mini). If you are a MTL, you are gonna dig it. The flavor is as good as the RM2's. Great quality, just like our Reos. (There's a thread in Reoville about it too that helped me lots). I'm finding that I'm going towards the DL a bit more lately and have taken a liking to the Little 16 O's more. Since the O's don't work on my "un-shaven" Mini, I'm a happy camper with the Challice 111. Looking forward to your thoughts.

imho the chalice 3's are wonderful...i now have 3. like robinowitz, they're great for the classic non-LP reo's and anything else you slap them on. they can be a pain to coil since the deck's so small, but once you get the coil the way you like it using readyxwick it'll last for months. no modifications needed....just adjust the airflow control to be the way you like it.
and a tip for oplholik...be really careful with the post screwtops. they're tiny little boogers and can be difficult/expensive to replace. my hands shake really badly, so I work on mine in one of those freebie magnetic parts trays from harbor freight and haven't lost one yet

Found it useful when I was using a Chalice111 clone when ready to re-install the tube nuts, take a toothpick/cocktail stick and cut one end down little bit at a time until it will wedge into the screwdriver end of the 'nut' - makes putting it in place/starting to thread it easy-peasy.
