The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
$9000 ? How many sq. ft. are you covering, 3500 or more ?
I forget the roof square but the house is just over 1000 square feet per floor 2300 for 2 floors. Things are expensive up here

Spazy lost her pretty red collar :(
awwwwwwww........but you know she did it because she wants a purple one!! hehehe

Good Morning from Austria (7am here ;) ) to all Reonauts - have a great day :)
howdy suchtie!! Wow, that's a bright, cheery color combo!

I'm not a fan of springs as fuses.

T
why come? Do you use a regular fuse?

My DIL lives in Spring Tex. At the end of their street that's about 3 blks. away, there is a creek that was a raging river for several days. Fortunately it held, but she still had some flooding thru the back door twice just from the falling rain.
oh wow, glad it wasn't more serious! Spring is about 4 hrs from me

Yes, a 10A Auto fuse in my metal Reos using the method Alexander Mundy invented, so it doesn't damage your mod.

T
I've seen posts about that and how it fits under the batt, but didn't pay much attn, so I'm very curious now, why do you prefer that. At the time I saw it, I was trying to learn so much new stuff, I had to skip over that so my brain didn't short circuit

Just stopped in to say hi! Glad to see the Reonauts Lounge alive and well!
good to see ya!!

If you run sub-Ohm coils and thrash your Reos to within an inch of their lives then it's a way of reducing the voltage drop that a spring has.
In my opinion, a fuse has a known rating and a spring, well, you tell me.

It's easy to change and it blows just as fast as a spring collapses, so it's all i've used in my Reos for years.

I need a roof this summer too and your cost is close to mine but I need lots of ice and water shield. I have 2334sq ft and $3265.30 for a dimensional shingle or $5095.32 for steel. I'm gonna do it myself and I'm going steel because it will be easier and quicker and no tear off or dumpster or nails in my lawn.

Edit...forgot to link Pawpas post...darn tablet!

ok, well at 1.3 ohms, don't reckin I need to worry about that. But I do see your point, and I'm glad I know WHY some folks do that now, thanks!

Debadoo came for a visit and taught me how to wrap coils. I wrapped my first coil and squonked my first bottle on my new REO, so I'm feeling all official now. :)
yay!!!! Welcome officially to Reoville!! You've been a part since you bought the Reo, but glad you finally used it. Told ya it wuzn't as hard as ya thought it would be. :) We got stuff ordered for her so she can build/wick her coils. Now it just needs to get here. Among those are batteries, but I'm leavin ya one of mine so you can play til yours come in.

Seapeach has a gorgeous lacewood that she bought at the sale, but hadn't used til tonite! Glad it finally had it's maiden voyage!!

The video won't load for me this morning on my Silk browser but I've seen your other videos of this amazing Reo. Such nice work!

I've often thought I'd like to have a pro hand checker my cocobbolo Woodville like a fine rifle stock. I know cocobolo is heavy but I'm not sure if it's as hard as walnut and a good candidate for checkering.
