If you run sub-Ohm coils and thrash your Reos to within an inch of their lives then it's a way of reducing the voltage drop that a spring has.
In my opinion, a fuse has a known rating and a spring, well, you tell me.

It's easy to change and it blows just as fast as a spring collapses, so it's all i've used in my Reos for years.

T
Agree and building lower than .3 on a REO is kind of counterproductive. Putting 125+ watts through any REO is really dumb imo but that's the beauty of vaping. We can do whatever we want to do!

.3 ohm builds throw around 50 watts through the REO. Plenty of juice for these mods to deal with and get me where I need to be.

I would vape a different mod capable of dealing with low ohm builds before putting a fuse in a REO but that's just me.

Sure wish he had made some that were full SL mode... I probably would've bought one then.

I suspect lots of people would have. Personally, I never thought I'd like full SL. My 4 Grands are all solid. But I figured I'd get my 2 P67s with SL doors. If I didn't like them, I could put doors from my Grands on them. But I really do like them.

Quick question. I need to order some 510 pins for backups (since I apparently lost one and can't use little blue without one), so I'm going to be placing an order with Rob...but I'm also in need of another atty, but I can't afford a Maker (or anything else for that after) from Catfish. How does the RM7 compare to the RM8? I've never had a rogue rda, just the derringers. But when I order more pins, I thought maybe if order an RM7 while I'm at it. The Hobo v3 isn't doing it for me right now. I may have to go to SS coils in it to get the warmth, ramp time, and flavor I want. Was just curious about the rogue though.

I have never used an Rm7 either so can't say. I did see more posts of folks not liking them, than I did liking them, but it wasn't super lopsided, so many did like them. I love the RM8 though!

RM7 is the Hastur knock off. Robs is actually built better. Hastur is a flavor atty galore. Mine throw off a wetter vape of that makes any sense.

The r8 is the Derri knock off. It vapes just like a Derri. Great flavor and great clouds.

Both solidly modded by the Mod Father himself.

You can't go wrong either way. I love them both.

I have a solid and an all SL and tend to favor the SL more it seems. I don't think it has anything to do with the weight of it, (because it isn't much lighter), I think it is more the aesthetics than anything. Didn't care for the look in the beginning, but it has grown on me since though...

Nope.... Sorry, it is a Rogue knock-off... Take a look at your Hastur and then a pic of the RM7... The Hastur has the air coming in from the top of the top cap and the Rogue is on the side, but at the top, of the top cap....

Not really a comparison to be had. Rogue is just a wide open vape and the Derringer can be closed up if need be... The problem with cloned or knock-off Rogue's were they couldn't be closed off at all. The very top piece of the top cap was milled too tall. There were several that actually sanded theirs down to be used open or closed off though...

I have a Rogue authentic and a clone. The biggest gripe with the clone is that the air adjustment cap doesn't fit as well. There is always a gap. The authentic is perfectly tight, with no visible gap.

That was probably a less confusing way to say what I said.... Thanks....

I could be dead wrong; but I've always believed that the Rogue and the clone were made in the same place, and for whatever reason, the clones failed QC.

Possibly... But maybe they were made to fail so as the original would sell better!!! Something to ponder...

Maybe. But I've always believed there are many clones that come from the same shop as the authentic, for a variety of reasons; out the back door, sold off to clone suppliers because they didn't pass QC, contract overruns, poor sales of the authentic, etc.
