I'm curious about how my fellow Reonauts are preparing for the upcoming vaping apocalypse--juice wise. Although I've not gotten into mixing my own juice, I think it may be time to snag some 100 mg. nic in preparation for hard times. It comes shipped in plastic, transfer it to glass and stuff it in the freezer, right?

Yup - that's basically it. Glass bottles - Boston rounds seem to be the favored choice - with what are called polyseal cone caps. Fill 'em full, but allow a few cc's of air space at the top.

ETA: Oh - and perhaps a mini freezer. I have to constantly yell at the other person in the house for overstuffing the freezer, so no way in hell my nic would ever fit in there along with the 2 year old bags of frozen peas & whatnot.

Sounds like my house. We have a full chest freezer but we seem to need to go to the store to cook a meal.:)

All too true here - and it drives me nuts. So yes - I did buy a mini cube freezer and laid down the law: Anything but nic in there gets tossed. Period. (And maybe the freezer insert for the ice cream machine if it will fit - but that's it.)

Forgot to add:

I'm not big on flavors so if worse came to worse I would have no problem vaping unflavored on a regular basis. (I like it.) Personally I don't have any plan to stock up on flavor concentrates. I'll get some, but not gonna go nuts on that one.

So: Bought a cube freezer, got my VG nic. And got a couple gallons of no-nic VG for mixing - just because it's such a pain to get in quantity around here. Don't plan on putting the non-nic stuff in the freezer - just keep it in the basement.

It's all VG 'cause I have PG allergy problems.

Pretty much it. My take is the nicotine is going to be the only serious problem in our future.

I started the DIY thing about 2 years ago, I learned enough to come up with a few ADV's for my self, I was planning to try to come up with a bunch of recipes, then that kind of just stalled a bit. Anyway when I started back then I bought about 12 liters of 100mg Nic, I just ordered 10 more. Now I am going to stock up on larger bottles of flavoring, just to make sure I have no problem getting them. All my older Nic I transfered to 50 ML glass bottles, I am going to do the same with the new batch, and maybe the flavors as well. I am also trying to make sure I can rebuild everything for all the devises I have, including my REO's. I really hope that the Deeming, somehow gets thrown out. In the mean time I am stockpiling. I also went the extra step of purging all the oxygen out of my bottles with argon, just to make sure they will last a long time, I used a fish tank with the bottles in it, filled it with the argon and put the caps on. I know I always go overboard.:glare:

Now that sounds familiar. My wife seems to think we need a bigger freezer, and not because of the nic in there, I just tell her to fix one of the roasts she has in there. If you eat what you have in there, it makes more room.

I think I just kind of panicked on the Nic, I think the first batch was about a 10 year supply, this should get me to 20. I just don't want anyone telling me that I can't do this anymore, also Indiana is really coming down hard on vapers, starting on 7-1-16.

When the fear subsides y'all are gonna have to unload a bunch of nic juice

I look at it like this I wont ever have to buy a bottle of juice again, and if the FDA does come down hard on Nicotine, and I need to sell it, I could most likely make some cash off it.

Jup and making your own juice can be super simple, or folks can complicate it. I use a bare minimum of "tools" I do it stoopit simple. Stock up on the 4th of July sales coming up, just make sure I've got the 3 more liters I need to feel safe first

I did the math once along time ago, and I think it was less than that, but I don't really remember. Sense I started the DIY thing, I really have not really been keeping track of my usage. I am to tired to think about it right now.:|

Unless you vape probably 10 or 12 mls a day and 24mg nic, it should last a lot longer. I figured it at 4 mls a day and 24 mg nic and that's nearly 4 years

I used to vape 24 MG, now I am at 12MG, and I think it is around 6 to 8 mils a day, so sense I am now 54, I think it would be safe to say, I now have a life time supply. :)

I agree with Rickajho that nicotine will be our weak point in the struggle to keep vaping. It is arguably the only thing the FDA should be able to defend as a “tobacco product”.

Unfortunately, I still depend on a 20mg mixture. That’s probably an unrealistic thirst to maintain.

So far I've collected 3.24 liters of Wizard Labs 100mg/ml PG nicotine in 27 Boston Round bottles. This is just a start, of course, & I’ll see how much I can hoard before the government in this “Land of Liberty” cuts off our supply.

Just curious: When it comes to freezer storage what size glass bottles do y'all prefer?

I'm doing 60's and 125 ml's myself, just because the math is straightforward. (Kinda regret the 60's...) Half a liter, four 125 ml bottles.... Boom! - done. And I would rather take out one bottle - and use it - rather than taking out, putting back, downsizing larger bottles to smaller as it's used etc.

There are practical limits though, depending on what kind of freezer you are dealing with. Anyone actually measured their height clearance on the freezer shelves before ordering bottles?
