Oh, I'd only seen the JMK version, he calls "machi" rings. I think, as in "matchy-matchy".
And they're just aesthetic, but look kinda nice putting a small atty on a big box...

Edit - personally, I wouldn't want one on a Reo, as I like when I can "snick" the door up.

i used a digital caliper to measure the rm2
Much better than my method for sure. :)

Good morning Reonauts. :)
Yes, ugh...back to the grind. Course, I work part-time (by choice), so I can't/shouldn't complain.

A flow ring is used to do 2 things..
1. I hides the rest of the 22mm diameter around the 510 on a lot of devices when using a sub 22mm atty...
2. It acts as a barrier between the atty and the device so you don't scratch the top or leave atty rash...

These are very popular on non-Reo bottom feeders that are out there.

@Kh888 Just get a 16mm ring and you will be ok.

Thank you...a 16mm is a good solution.

As for the early question as to why? Muzichead answered it perfectly. The two reasons above are spot on as to why one would use them. In addition to JMK, Captivape.com also sells them in a variety of finished colors. While its not a necessity to have one, they do provide a very nice finished look.

speaking of dressing up...
What color/finish mod shows off the patina doors the best?

ETA: I've done a search on the Reo Forum, so I'm also looking there, just curious regarding opinions. I know it's personal preference. I just may not think of a combo that someone else has, or has seen that looks nice. :)

4 of my LP Grands go in the mail to the spa tomorrow for the SS conversion and complete refurbish. I'm also getting some more extra parts to carry me through the long haul. The two that I received last week should hold me over till the others get back...lol.

I like mine to look nice but if they get a little banged up I don't sweat it. They are a tool to me also that keeps the smoke away. LOL...I keep asking myself, is 6 LP Grands enough?

Be Good!

Pink. Definitely not pink.

That's a tough one because each one is by nature unique. But the color tones are going to run to pretty much to greens, golds, browns - and it could be anything from light "coppery" green to a dark green etc. Gold might be dominant in one while the next leans on green/brown. So while one door may work with a red Reo, the next door... not so much.

It was easy for me.
I have a gold grand, and I picked out a patina that had a lot of yellowish gold in it .... the grand looks fantastic now.
I didn't use it that much, but it's one I use daily now, because I love the looks.
Greens or reds would be hard to match, but the black, brown, gold, and white mods would work .. my :2c:

Wow look at all you guys.

How is everyone? Long time no see.

I haven't been on in almost a year but my Reos are still running smooth (what a surprise). I think it's time I installed the new 510 connection... still running the brass pins in both of mine. Can someone link me to an install video? I can't seem to find one. Also, anyone using the heavy duty contacts? How are they? If you remember me, you know they appear to be right up my alley.

Hope everyone's well, missed all you crazy turds.

Edit: Also checked out the website. There are 6 new RM's! WOW!!!!!! HOW ARE THEY?! WHO'S USING WHAT?!

Good to see you zmauls! You need a press to fit the new 510, so maybe just send it in is a better solution. Knowing how you vape, you'll want a heavier duty pin although it's going to make it harder to push the button.

But on the cloud-chasing builds, it makes sense.
