Now that is . . . . . interesting.the one that kinda freaked me out was turning 24![]()
You crack me up, C. The sheer fact that you, Robino 'n ECF in general can tolerate ol' RHP is a testimate to your fortitude not only as a vaporer but as a strong (and patient)human being!
May you 'n the rest of the folks in REOville & ECF have many many many more trips around the Sun coming!

Excellent info.20, 30, 40, i never gave a flying fig at any age, so nothing changed except i suffer fools even less gladly these days and that's why i have my own office at work! To protect the rest of them!
Regardless of your atty, if you are new to making coils keep it simple and make ones with a few wraps that are as neat as you can make them.
You want to be over or on 1Ω at the lowest. Something like 27 or 28g (gauge) wire is likely to get you there with not too many wraps or be too springy.
Whether you make spaced coils or have the wraps touching is up to you; the latter may be easier to make if you wrap around a screwdriver or use a coiling device. Spaced coils i have always made by wrapping them around a machine screw.
Whatever you make, there are 2 important things you are aiming for: something you can easily replicate in future and something safe to use. To this end you must measure your coil, either with a gadget for doing so or an accurate multimeter, before you use it.
Measure it with the cap on as if you were going to screw it on a device and use it - if you forget to do this and the wire touches the cap, you'll drop a Reo spring!
One resource you will definitely need is Steam Engine main page
which is full of useful stuff and gives you an idea of what you coil SHOULD come out to!

I havent cared about my age since 18. Not even 21, i had stopped drinking by then![]()
Well, yeah...I'm with you on that, I keep looking at the...um...gray that's creeping in, despite loads of $$ spent at the salon to cover it.My age doesn't bother me - it's the old woman that is in the mirror that bothers me![]()

Hi all, today I became a Reonaut! The postman delivered my Metalic Blue Reo Grand along with the Stainless Steel #8.0 Reomizer. Now I am back to ground zero about coils. I haven't built a coil in 6 months. And I wasn't that good at it, to begin with. lol
@Diver9543 I found for me the best thing for making coils is
Coil Master Coiling Kit V4 - Coil Master.
And Welcome to the group.

jup I know it's bizarro......but look who yur talkin to. up to 23 still seemed cute and fun, but for some reason 24 just seemed way too adult-y.Now that is . . . . . interesting.
Jup, they don't make nuttin like they used to. I hate these defective new mirrors. Wish I could find the mirror I had 25 years ago, that girl wuz cute, no wrinkles, or gray hair.My age doesn't bother me - it's the old woman that is in the mirror that bothers me![]()

I agree wholeheartedly I prefer my twitching to occur naturallyi don't drink anymore* and deplore the amount of exercise i have to do to keep in shape anyway. If i really thought those 'electrocute yourself into shape' things worked, well than maybe i'd use that sat here.

* or any less
I knew I shoulda listened to the guidence counsolers and not smoked that funny stuff back in the high school days
Dangerous, I got to work on that, I know folks. (((((((((Dean))))))))))) hiya hun! Good to see ya!! hehehe I'm 26.5 and my son is almost 16. So why is my body in the shape it's in??? lol30/60 = X/58. Whoo Hoo, I'm only 29! But wait, that means my daughter is only 14. What the heck is she doing living with a 28 year old man. Where's my Reo?!
Congratulations on 4, count them 1, 2, 3, 4 Years smoke-free!I hit my 4 year mark on the 10th this month. Seems just incredible to me that it's been 4 years!!
Thanks for the welcome to REOville. I always try to yield to those with superior knowledge or who are bigger than me.Howdy Diver, RedhatPat here. Offering you a firm handshake straight from Amish country and ever bigger Welcome to REOville my fellow REOnaut! While it might sound like heresy to say this, I'm still partial to shorty cartomizers myself even with thicker unflavored juices then again with these sasquatch sized hands of mine, I'm a poor rebuilder and can only make attempts in 'doses' now but don't let that deter you from the valuable build-vidz like @woodhippy posted or input from Jim (supertrunker) posts 'cuz most folks have picked it up by now or gotten asbestos tonguetryin' by now if they were me !![]()

Thanks, I will have to take a look at the RM2.Do you have an RM2? That is seriously sooooo easy to build, and a GREAT vape.
I understand that more will be in stock at some point, if not already. I haven't checked in a few days.
Thanks, Deb. I have built a few coils but I'm always open to suggestions.wahooooooooooo good for you darlin!! Jup DH is correct, my go to atty is the RM8 derringer. I love em! If I can help at all lemme know. We can chat on phone or in hangout or whatever if you need help building it or with anything.
I have used Steam Engine for making coils for my mech mods, it has just been a few months. Thanks for info it is always a good reminder for beginers and veterens alike.20, 30, 40, i never gave a flying fig at any age, so nothing changed except i suffer fools even less gladly these days and that's why i have my own office at work! Hmm, I believe our paths have crossed. LOLHmmm...I believe I;ve run into you a time or two elsewhere
Welcome to Reoville! And having the best...in my opinion...vaping device on the planet! Metallic blue sure is eye-catching,! I have the same one...but it's smothered in Elvis![]()
Welcome!
I also have a Blue Metallic.
Lots of vids on building the Derringer:
derringer rda build - YouTube
I don't have a Coil Master Coiling kit but I have something similar for wrapping coils. I also have the Coil Master 521 Tab. I use it as a build-deck and then I can check for a short before I install it on my REO. Right now I am using 26ga Kanthal.@Diver9543 I found for me the best thing for making coils is

When I was first thinking about getting the REO, I talked to Deb. I remembered her talking about the RM8.I think Deb uses a Derringer. I think. @Debadoo !!! We need your help.
Makes me a 32 yo! Whoop!RHP
Well...if 60 is the new 30 - I'mma gonna be 30 in December [emoji38]
I was in the 'you can't trust anyone over 30' era. I hit 30 & my thought was that ok, I'm 30, I can't trust myself anymore, so why try? Woohooooooo!Nah.It only bugged me for about a week, and that was just a "leaving my 20's" thing, thinking 30 was ancient. [emoji23][emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]
It didn't help that DH is 6 years younger and took great enjoyment in (playfully) teasing the snot out of me about turning 30. [emoji23]
