Yer batteries! They're NEKKID!
Nah, got me some clear wraps for my batteries to make em' look nekkid... Just didn't like the way the brown wrapper looked in the SL/LP and changed them up... I have silver and black wraps also if I ever want to change it up.

Welcome back @Rayonati Sloth from your adventure! My eyes still haven't adjusted from seeing those naked batteries @muzichead! Absolutely sparkly P-67's @JC Okie (I'm thinking you are hooked) and big congratulations @seapeach on your book!
I've been away from ECF for a little bit (which means the 2 Reo threads) cause I've been doing some family stuff in So Cal. (Dad moving to assisted living. A good move really but tough nonetheless). I had my trusty mini (RM2) with me for stealth vaping and the sparkly red Grand (Origin 16) for not so stealth times. It amazes me how TSA at airports have changed over the years regarding PV's. It used to be "what do we have here" type questions. Now absolutely nothing (Plus we get to stealth vape in the BR stalls! Hahahaha. I still remember those smoking days when joule go thru security twice just to have ONE more cigarette before take-off).
Just wanted to say hello and thank you for always being here. ''Tis doggone good to be home.

Good Morning Reonauts. Mamaw is headed towards the Kitchen for Sunday Breakfast. Judy and Loser #5 are at the Beach for the weekend.Yard work completed yesterday, Football today.

I never thought this group would pick on someone for their choices

Wasn't intending to be critical, just relating my experience. Hopefully no one was offended.

I never wanted to ask for custom anything, but he said not a problem, that he'd done custom jobs for others.

I have a LP VV Grand, a Polished Aluminum Mini and a Polished Brass Mini, all custom ordered. Just expect the additional charges.

Back at home...a sloth has driven 2000 niles in less than 6 days...are sloths supposed to move that fast? o_O

Phhhhtt. Mortals....(sigh) :(. Actually, 2000 miles in five days (and home every night) is a normal week for me. Sometimes I don't feel alive unless the world is moving 70 mph. When I was on the "big road" in the 90's, 3000 miles in six days was the objective. But I am getting older now, so I am slowing down.
Nothing seems as out of place as a retired Trucker. The ones I've known just have a strange look in their eyes, like something is gone and not coming back.

Mornings temps in the '50's, daytime highs in the low '80's. I guess our two or three weeks of autumn is finally starting. By Halloween it'll be getting colder. But at least the summer heat is winding down.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

(and try not to be offended by what some grumpy old truck driver says)

I'm like Mad Max after about 6 hours of driving. My eyes just give up and it all looks the same to me! i used to like to drive until i had to drive from Virginia to Houston on one occasion.
Now if it's more than 5 hours away i'll fly or not bother going!

In my younger days, I could drive long distances; 1000 miles or more in a day. I've driven from Central NY to Daytona, Fl more than once, only stopping for bathroom breaks and gas.
I can't do it anymore. I wish I could. But after 8 or 9 hours, my eyes glaze over, my reaction slows, and I'm a danger to myself and others on the road. I have to stop and get some rest.

I used to love to drive everywhere.
In CA I drove 80 miles each way for work every day.
When we moved to Florida in 2003 I was almost 50 - I drove my '02 Dodge Ram with 2 parrots and 2 cats in there with me. Took 5 days cause I was just too pooped to drive longer days.
That was my last driving journey

I hate it...it sucked. Wouldn't have done it if it weren't for a family reunion the next day in TN and it having been almost 3 years since seeing them and friends down there. On the way back, well...I just had to get out of there, to be honest :D I needed a full day of "rest" back home before returning to work (read: hiking)

In a couple weeks we're going to be driving a lot but not more than 7 hours in a day. We're headed to Maine, then Nova Scotia, maybe Newfoundland and Quebec. See, that'll be paced well, and we'll have fun with it. I pushed real hard for the last trip and I'm still recovering (mostly from lack of sleep at Dad's house though, his little dog wouldn't let me sleep)

Driving for a living requires a "Mental Stamina" that, I believe does not come naturally. It has to be developed. Which is why I believe people beginning their commercial driving career should have their Hours of Service reduced by 10 hours a week. But that is just my opinion.
And you know what they say about opinions.....
