I'd call your order in and make sure it has the spring; the spring is a must in my "stuck button" opinion.

It is a must. Apparently, Rob thought it was enough of an issue too; so he added the spring. The button stuck on one of mine a couple times, and I called Rob immediately. I didn't use either of mine again until he new buttons arrived, and I installed them. No more problem. There is a charge for the button/spring assembly. If I recall, they were $15 each.

I'm quite sure that the most recent release of the P67 has the spring loaded button. It was only the first release, and maybe the 2nd, which was very small, that didn't have it. Both of mine were 1st release; so I had Rob send me the upgraded buttons.

Mine P67 is a first release and when I looked on the site I was not sure that the P67 button for sale was spring assisted or not. I want to replace my "no spring" with the spring button.

It's a pretty easy install. Or, if you're uncomfortable with it, you can send it in to Rob. I did my two, and it was only 5 or 10 minutes per.

My Woodville started sticking too. I pulled the brass button and leaf spring to get to the button shaft with a Q tip and alcohol and gave it a good cleaning. It was gunked up with Howards wax but came clean and solved the problem.

I have since started using Planet Waves Lemon Oil which is what I use on my Cedar topped guitar and rosewood fret boards and bridges. Gives the Woodville a nice clean mellow finish that also removes wax build up or VG/PG drippings.

How can you tell if a P67 has the spring? Is it coil or leaf, hidden within the wall or visible near the 510 contact?

It's not visible without taking it apart. The spring is a short coil spring. The new button has a groove on the underside to accommodate the spring.

If you could pop the button off from the outside, you could do it without taking it apart. But I didn't want to risk scratching the paint, so I took mine apart, and did it from the inside.
All you do is:
-Pull the tube off.
-Remove the phillips screw That holds the block.
-Loosen and remove the nipple that the tube slides on to.
-Remove the contact plate
-Remove the plastic lock
-Remove the block
-using a pair of needle nose pliers, grab the plastic firing pin, behind the shoulder, an pop it out from the inside (the old button will fall out on the outside)
-Install the new spring in the groove in the new button.
-Put the firing pin through the hole, from the inside.
-Press the new spring and button onto the firing pin.
-Reassemble everything, in reverse order. (I use a toothpick, and put a teeny tiny dot of Teflon paste on the male threads of the 510 stub, before installing the nipple, to avoid a leak)

Done.

Nothin' I'd buy there, though.
Same here. when we started getting vape shops around here, I was already using Reos and DIY'ing. they had nothing I needed or wanted. I stopped in them, more out of curiosity than anything, but was just so glad to be in a place where I didn't need anything.

not try to fix it if it's not broken.
on another thread the same thing came up.........one person countered with.....

"or if it aint broke........fix it til it is"! I bout fell off the couch laffin. I think they've been watchin me

I used to schedule and arrange the monthly meet ups for our local vape group, up until a couple years ago. Back then, there were only a few B&M shops in the area. I got to know a lot of the shop owners and employees. Since that time, the number of shops and juice companies has grown exponentially.
So, I will stop in at local shops, just to chat with friends, shoot the breeze, and maybe pick up a drip tip or some wicking material. But there isn't much in any of them that I happen to use.
I did pick up a new regulated mod and tank for Mrs Rule for Christmas last week. No doubt I probably paid 1 1/2 times as much as I could have got it online for. But at least it's a little support for a local business. I'd love to do more, if anyone sold stuff that I use.

i know of only about 3 or 4 vape shops near me; a couple of years ago there were none. Nevertheless, i've never been in one, just because i'm quite self-sufficient in my vaping and i know for a fact they won't sell things i want.

i'd like them to remain open, but that's going to depend on how much the FDA nonsense gets diluted. i still advise smokers thinking of quitting to go to a vape shop because they cater to that market specifically, sub-Ohming bottom feeding cloud chasers like me, not so much.

There are one or two local shops I'll stop in at, if I happen to be going by and have the time, because I know the owners well. If I happen to hear of a new shop opening up, I'll stop in at least once, just to check it out. But most everybody in my area use regulated mods and tanks, and the shops cater to those people. Once in a while, I might see someone dripping on a mech mod. But I believe I've only encountered one person who was a squonker, and that was just a month or so ago.

Jup it's great when you can support local businesses.

totally agree. Great way for them to see a variety of products, handle them etc.

Anyone with a hankering for a woodvil, there appears to be a "spinoff" over here...
I'd probably check if they're indeed "with permission" - but it sounds legit, and they look lovely...
oh this is fantastic!! Glad to see the woodvils aren't a thing of the past. I really hope he can make a go of this!

My acoustic is a Seagull S6 cedar top made in Quebec and I have a few electrics, MIM Stratocaster, Xaivier Les Paul, Telecaster with a fat Warmoth neck. Nothing vintage or particularly collectable. I have no natural talent but please myself mostly with blues and trying to learn finger picking at the moment. I've bought and sold a lot! What ya got?

I have three guitars myself, a Fender Tele, Strat, and an Ibanez Artcore. They are relatively inexpensive models, nothing special about them and can't play much anymore, never could much, but due to my arthritis, they just hang on the wall pretty much ignored for the last few years. I like the Oldies rock of the 60's, and the old blues. What the blue's players were doing back in the 30's, and 40's on a funky old guitar gives me chills.
