I mount the Z following the cross pattern of the holes, inserted diagonally. If people having trouble aren't doing that, give it a try. Ive built dozens and find them easier and faster to install than a Z in the Stumpy.
Heh, I did that! My right hand is messed up because of rheumatoid arthritis, so everything is awkward. [emoji12] I am soooo not left handed!

Following Rule62's comments, I got the spring assisted fire button for my P67. I didn't know these were available. I think it is a worth while addition to the REO. If you have ever had a sticky fire button, you understand, I hadn't used mine for a while due to that sticking problem. You might consider a peek insert to replace the wood block at the same time, if you like to bathe your P67 like it do.
I didn't find it on the website last week but wrote Rob and ask about it. He invoiced me and sent one out. The install didn't take long, about ten minutes, the innards of the P67 are pretty straight forward. The trickiest part was making certain that the negative "plate" that the positive contact hits is perpendicular to the rear of the REO body after tightening the stainless filler tube. [A very small amount of plumbers putty with a toothpick on the threads is a good fix for a leaky connection.]

Glad it worked out for you. I haven't had a button sticking issue with either of my P67s since doing the spring button conversions, and I use them daily. Definitely a must, for anyone with a first release P67. I didn't get the peek insert though. The wood inserts in mine were fine. But I'm not one to bathe my mods.

Hey gang, can anyone offer up any info on a decent ultrasonic cleaner and why you like using it? Nothing extravagant or real costly, something that works and is a pretty good deal for some small items. Thanks...
I use an iSonic with a 30 minute cycle. It does the job well for bottles, attys, etc., and I've been really happy with it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005GA1I3M/ref=twister_B01I6RQ2NC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 I think this is it exactly.

ETA I chose it because of the 30-minute cycle. There are cheaper ones but typically they have shorter cycles. Which just means restarting the cycle every 3 minutes or whatever it may be capable of.

I agree. The longer cycle is a must. I bought mine at Harbor Freight, and rarely use it. The reason: it only has an 8 minute cycle. It works well; but it's a major PITA having to keep resetting it.

Is the longer cycle that important? How long should you set the cycle for cleaning say a watch, necklace, or something similar? I won't have any vape gear to clean anymore. I am really getting it to clean my DE safety razors on a regular basis because I just don't feel like they are getting clean enough right now.

Not really man, I think that's just subjective. I'm not overly informed on UC but my understanding is that within seconds an item becomes sanitary, but prolonged exposure to the UC action can really help get things cleaner. Not sure how long you would need to run those razors but I doubt very long. So if you don't mind restarting a shorter cycle several times, save some money.

I sometimes use mine to clean my coffee espresso percolater thing. I typically run it for 30 minutes, then sometimes an additional 10-15, and by the end it is literally clean as a whistle. Gets off rough coffee stains in tough-to-reach areas and in the filter, etc.

I originally got mine to "steep e-juice" (IMO a totally bogus endeavor and waste of much of my time), so I wanted the longer cycle since I would be running it for 2-4 hours at a time. Were I to do it over for simply cleaning purposes, I may still get this one because it has stood up over time and functions great, but not for the longer cycle.

This one is inexpensive & seems to clean well, although I do tend to restart it for extra cycles. I don't know if that's necessary, but it's easy to push to button again.
That's the one I have too, but I don't think it would fit Sloth's coffee filter :p

Heck mine doesn't either lol. I have to let it run a bit then turn it on its side, then upside down etc to get the whole thing done. I'm doing this as we speak actually :D

i'm with you, Kenna, my dear

in March 2010, i woke up and my right hand was completely numb. still is.

my left hand is near useless and uncoordinated, beyond learning how to mouse left-handed and type.

every single keystroke i have ever typed on ECF was done using one finger on my crappy left hand.

we'll get by. . .
