OK guys, I'm interested in buying a P67. I watched the vid Russ did and see where there have been some changes and looking at the closed classies - I see some listed theirs with updated contacts/510 and the insert thing is not wood any longer I think. Is there any thing else I should know? Are there other changes with the batch that is due soon?
I looked on the REO site but see nothing in the way of specs for the P67.

I just want to know what I need to look for if I should happen on a used one - I would want the most updated one as I dislike the wood insert. Is it delrin or Ultem? Russ had the Ultem on his in the vid. If I do end up ordering new - do I need to call/email Rob to let him know which inset/contacts I want or are they stock in the mod now?

Thanks! :)

New insert, not wood.
And a spring added to the button action.

Unless there's news with the release of a new batch, those are the two changes since the first run (when I got mine - I DO kinda wish I had the new insert - haven't had any button issues).

My two P67s are from the first run. The inserts are wood, and the buttons were not spring assisted. I've since upgraded to the spring assisted buttons. I was having some button sticking issues before. But none since I installed the newer spring assisted ones.
As for the inserts, I've had no problems with the wood ones. So I saw no reason to upgrade to the ultem ones. But, I'm not one to wash my mods, or get them wet. If you're someone who is in the habit of bathing your mods, or there's a chance of dropping them in water, then I'd make sure your P67 has the newer ultem insert.

Oh what about the 8.5ml bottles - do they come with the P67?
If not, do you recommend them? I do not like the regular REO bottles.
I only have REO minis so I still use the little square china bottles with the red tops ;)

The P67 does not come with the 8.5ml bottle. It comes with the standard 6ml one.
Personally, I love the 8.5ml soft squonk bottles. But they have to be set up properly, or the caps will leak. Once properly set up, they're great.

They come with the same stiff standard Reo bottles.
I do prefer the "8.5 ml supersoft" or whatever they're called. $6 extra to get one...

I don't think they're really bigger, but they're definitely softer. You MAY have to fiddle to get them so the cap seals well to the bottle - there isn't much threading.

But there are a few known tricks
(squeeze it hard with air, to develop a seal)
(heat cap in place with lighter)
(stick a little o-ring in there)

ONE of them will work... :)

They hold a little more than the standard bottles. I don't know how much; I've never measured them. But it's not 8.5ml. There are a couple YouTube videos about setting them up initially. I do mine by filling them up about 3/4 full with hot water. Then pinching the tube, and pumping the bottle several times, until there's no seepage from under the cap. This seats the cap to the bottle. Once it's done before the first use, they're good to go. But just to be sure, every time I fill, I snug the cap on, pinch the tube, and pump the bottle a couple times.
Also, the first time you install the tube on the nipple in the REO, it's a bit of a struggle. But after it's been on and off a few times, it's easier. The first time you install the tube, lube it up a little with a drop or two of VG.

I've had no problems so far but now my brain has been infected with the idea of an issue lol
lol don't look for something that isn't there. As far as "safety" I trust the SS 316L way more than I do kanthal even though I used kanthal for years. I also get mine from Temco, made in the US, so that gives me a comfy feeling. If you do buy from there, check the price on 250 feet, it's usually less than 1.00 more than the price for just 100 feet. Or at least it was when I bought mine.

Sipping on a Hardee's strawberry milkshake,
I loved Hardees when I was a kid. Wonder if the burgers are still as good. We don't have those anywhere near me.

It's almost time for laying in bed and vaping to a good movie.
kewl, whatchya gonna watch? I love watching movies.

I also love the easy squeeze bottles. This doesn't work for everyone, but for me it is much easier to take the bottle and tube off the nipple when I refill the bottle. The first few times it's a lil hard to get back on, but after that it's pretty easy. I refill the bottle, put the cap on making sure it's threaded right. Then pinch the tube, and squeeze the bottle. If you feel air escaping or hear a noise, it's either not threaded right, or the cap isn't on tight enough. (or you aren't pinching the tube all the way closed) with a new tube I use pliers to pinch it. You should just feel pressure build up and not hear anything. Put the tube/bottle back on the nipple and I never have a leak! I've only had trouble with one bottle that I can never get to seat right.

kewl! then get offa here and enjoy! Been wanting to get some from Redbox, but my son hasn't been real keen on it. He's the one with the car to go get em and drop em back off. Course, lately they haven't been here much due to dil's father having surgery. But now that he's better, maybe we can do that one night soon too

Hey Reopeeps,

Warm weather finally broke in our little neck of the woods. With it, come the boat people. This bay was nearly vacant a month ago...

If you squint and look past the cedar shake shack on the left, you see the tail of the float plane I use to get into the city when I need to.

Good Morning Reonauts. Vapefiend, I am happy to hear you received that small package. You may need a couple of tries to find the sweet spot. If I recall correctly, rayon doesn't expand like cotton when it is saturated.
Two weeks ago I killed a copperhead in the garage. Now it's mothballs and sonic rodent repellers and snake-away. Mamaw insists that "we" go through the garage (junk pile) to look for more snakes. I think I'll start with a file and a shovel, just in case.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)
