Nice!!

Sloth's headed to the Ottawa jazz fest tomorrow night. :danger:
oh kewl! Love jazz and really wanna visit parts of Canada one day.......other than just spending an hour there looking at the lights on the falls from that side.

Holy god the flavor on this no fear is the best I've had so far.
kewlios!

Indeed you are, brother. A fine stable of small chamber atties you're getting there. :toast:
I need to post some pics of one I have so y'all can tell me what it is unless I manage to find the pm. I know it's old.....hornet style I think....... the name is 3 letters, and apparently they were a high dollar atty back in the day. It's just way too small for me

Happy Monday, Reofam.

My (much) better half and I are off to camp on a neighbouring island. I took this pic from the ferry as I thought it captured the vibe nicely. Shown are the typical modes of conveyance - the ferry itself, pickup truck, VW van (ours), vespa scooter, and bicycle - with our island disappearing behind us.

With me on this trip is my trusted kawasaki green grand as it a) matches the van most closely and b) is the most visible in low light conditions (which often involves no small number of libations).
love it! Would love to see a pic of the van though. Hope y'all had a blast

while boiling up some fresh crab.
swoon! that sounds like pure heaven!

we have what are called tarantula wasps.......maybe the same thing or at least very similar. A friend of mine was stung by one about a month ago and it was incredibly painful and got pretty ugly before it finally got better.

FYI... Just saw this posted by Karen on FB...

REOS is moving from Maine to Indiana! Because of this, we will not be able to ship out any orders from now until July 10th. After July 10th business will resume as usual!

thanks for heads up. sure hope they make it and stay in business for many many years (decades) to come. I feel confident that Rob wouldn't have sold to anyone who he didn't feel pretty confident would maintain his standards in workmanship and CS.

They watched the vaping go downhill with the regs and pulled the plug on the Laws.
I hadn't heard about this and have been really wondering what happened with the lawsuits etc that were filed after their law was passed. This is fantastic if it was totally repealed! Gonna have to check this out

I stocked up on all the parts and pieces, to keep my REO's going for a long time. :)
I need to, and maybe sooner than I'd intended. If I were close and could.......I'd certainly go visit if possible and take em all some homemade "shopwarming" prezzie :)

trunker coil building gear, circa 2022...

oh that's hilarious! I need one of those now I think!

Happy Birthday, Canada. :toast:

It's so unlike us to toot our own horn, but hey, it's the caesars talking.
cheers! (even if I am late)

We're really sorry about this guy
apology accepted and appreciated :D

I wasn't familiar with Rush and yes....... I do live under a rock apparently......
.......... <~~~~~~~~~ ME ....... :D

but I just listened to limelight as suggested and really enjoyed it

Happy 4th to everyone!!

Have I mentioned lately how much I count on my Reos and adore our corner of the world? (I think it often. Just forget to mention it).

I'm keeping good thoughts for the new owners. I too am believing that Rob passed the business into good hands.

@Papa_Lazarou ok, spill the beans - you Western Canadians you have been keeping to yourselves a magical creation, a relic of Eden, that I want to know more about.

I recently learned of Nanaimo Bars via a flavoring concentrate from Montreal. The flavor of this juice is just phenomenal. I looked around the city but could not find any real Nanaimo bars, though. A little research indicates they are out of BC and less common in my neck of the woods ("my neck" meaning Quebec/Ontario, heh).

I simply must know: is the real thing the equivalent of this juice? (read: do Nanaimo bars taste like you are drinking life from a Holy Fountain?)

I was tentatively planning a trip to the SW USA come late October, if I can swing 2 weeks off in a row, but, I may need to redirect that to SW Canada and get me some Nanaimo bars and a mountain bike rental.

Jup........I'm also so thrilled we have this, and my Reos are so precious! Just the best mod ever. I was wondering if the new owners at some point might revive the forum. That would be kewl. But I love the lounge here, and all the folks that visit!

do you have a link for the flavoring? I look it up and all I find are recipes to make the bars.

Ah shoot, now that you know, we have to kill you (I hate having to do that).

Nanaimo is a city (about 100k people) on Vancouver Island, across Georgia Straight from Vancouver, the city. It's also a 20 minute ferry ride from the island I live on and where we go for stores like Costco and BestBuy.

It's also where the eponymous confection comes from - a staple treat for folks around these parts. Thanks to rampant tourism, they've become somewhat famous (the only thing, other than as a staging point for visiting the big island, that the town is known for). Pretty much every kid has made a batch or two in their primary school careers and going to a birthday party between that ages of 6 and 14 when I was growing up meant 6 trays of the stuff from various mums.

I had no idea there was a juice of that flavour, but I'm not surprised. I'm also not surprised by the vendor being in Quebec - our french brothers and sisters (my wife is french) absolutely love Vancouver.

Not having tried the juice, I can't comment on it's authenticity, but the real thing is mighty tasty and... well... downright decadent.

Sold. I'll be there in October. Really.

There or Alberta. If Alberta, I'd actually drive; I could make it in 3 days (I'm good at pulling long days driving, however, I'd settle for 4 if the going got tough; Google says it's about 38 hours to Banff and 43 to Jasper). I'd take a bike and snowshoes/microspikes for some mild hiking, as it'd be middle or late October. Would be nice to have my own stuff. However, Vancouver's too far to drive with only 2 weeks off, so I'd fly, and rent a car, and a bike.

Seems like maybe the Vancouver area, though, would be a better bet for mountain biking/hiking in late October. Curious as to your thoughts on that. I s'pose I could also take a rental car to Alberta for a few nights, too.

I think Sloth's time to head west hath finally arrived. The Nanaimo bars are the last straw.

ok........got sidetracked by nanaimo bars........

a super sweet reonaut who requested to not make a big deal over it...... recently pm'd me for my addy, cuz she wanted to send me some wire. (she included a few other surprise goodies) She also said she wanted to send me a bottle she found at FT that is so super soft and squonky that you just look at it and think squonk......it does it! Well, she wuzn't kiddin! Before I forget, here's the link
$4.02 Free Shipping YFTK Replacement Dropper Bottle for SVA 75W Style BF Squonk Box Mod (Silicone + SS) at m.FastTech.com

Not only are these much softer than the fib's, you seriously need to readjust squonking to the lightest touch ever. but also, I am certain they are bigger, need to see what they hold. but a metal cap screws onto metal threads......and the whole top of the bottle is thicker silicone (or whatever) so it acts like a gasket! The tube is also a lot softer, so easier to pinch for the bottle squeeze. No real need for that though, cuz you know if it's not screwed on right, and if it is.....not air escapes, so no leakage. They're a lil higher than I would expect from FT, but cheaper than fib's, and I think a far superior bottle!! I highly recommend them!
