Back in the day of pure VG, Boba's was rich and ultimately satisfying. These days our gear is tuned to a different vape experience. Jus for the curio, can you tell us Billy what you're vapin on?
Good luck.![]()
Most recently I've been doing very well with the Innokin Zenith MTL tank, with the factory 0.8 ohm Kanthal coil heads. But also fairly recently, with the newer Boba's Bounty juice anyway, I've used the Siren MTL RTA, Kayfun Mini v3 MTL RTA (clone) and the Vaporesso Estoc Mega - using the 0.5 ohm ceramic coil heads. Most of the MTL RTAs had 0.5 ohm to 1.2 ohm or so SS316 TC builds in them. Usually those devices topped either an iStick Pico (for TC), Vaporesso Swag (for wattage mode) or 3D printed Rebel Vape DNA 75 box mod (for either mode).
I have not used anything much like the original Nautilus Mini, iClear 16 clearomizers or m400 series e-liquid cartridges, that I used to vape Boba's Bounty on back in the day, for a couple of years now. Those would have had power supplied to them via either an m400 series (cigalike) battery, eGo type ("fixed" voltage) battery, iTaste VV v3 or iStick Mini 30. In between using all of those devices, I've also tried a few DTL sub ohm tanks, but none were to my liking, and I wasn't really vaping Boba's Bounty anymore by then anyway.
As an aside, I would not recommend the Vaporesso Swag, as it does not allow setting the wattage below 30W in TC mode, and a lot of newer, good MTL tanks don't fit on it, unless you are okay with a 2ml or so juice capacity. The Rebel Vape DNA 75 was kind of an expensive curiosity purchase that turned out to simply not be worth the cost. It is solid and does SS TC well, but that is about it. The same performance can be gotten in a good, smaller package for a lot less dough. I barely use it anymore. The Vaporesso Estoc Mega tank, which uses ceramic coil heads, promised to be a decent, though airy draw, non-RTA MTL tank, but really ended up disappointing, despite much fiddling. The factory ceramic coil heads just retain too much heat, especially when MTL chain vaping, making the tank difficult to consistently vape well in either TC or adjustable wattage mode - pretty much defeating the supposed benefits of using the tank and its factory coils.
I am now getting into using a Siren v2 as my latest MTL RTA, but it is too soon to tell how well it will workout for me. It doesn't seem to have the leak issues of the original Siren, which is good because that tank was otherwise a very, very good, affordable MTL RTA.
