Sigh, I actually had a dream last night about that REO website ... woke up at about 5:30 am convinced they were available right that instant! In PURPLE! Of course I fell right back asleep, but I had to check when I woke up for real.

lisa_marie, I feel your pain...I think I have the same dream.

Just wanted to inform all interested that RNRmanufacturing.com, the maker of the Ali'i and Journeyman, will not be taking orders this Friday(11/19), due to the Holiday and the need to catch up to orders.

The following was posted by Kaji, the ECF name that the maker goes by:

I know there are going to upset people, but we will not be taking orders tomorrow. With the holidays right around the corner (the old man and I need some time to breathe) and the current backlog of orders that we have to fill, we feel it is best that we hold off. Happy Holidays everyone and sorry for those waiting to place orders.

Have a good one and Vape On.

Happy Thanksgiving!

When I started, if it hadn't looked like a cigarette and had tobacco flavoring, I wouldn't have tried it. I think a lot of people are that way at first. But - I had never seen this forum and the information in it. It could have given me the confidence to try something more sophisticated - I don't know. I also didn't want to invest a lot of money in something and then discover it didn't work for me. I actually bought one of the more expensive, less satisfying models. It got me off analogs though - next month will be my one year anniversary. I'm using a 901 now. Pass through solved the battery issue, and now I'm considering something I don't have to refill all the time.

Same here. If it looked like something I would have used in the 70's (LOL) I wouldn't have tried it. It appealed to me because it looked like a Tcig, smoked like a Tcig, I could use it in public without anyone from any distance thinking I was using anything but a Tcig (now I don't care, but INITIALLY I did). Anyone who works at a professional type place (nice dress/suit or very nice casual as opposed to cut off jeans and flip flops) would also only be curious to try them if it looked like a Tcig. THAT being said, I still think a post telling us about them belongs in the newbie forum. We don't just stick with reading posts here but move around the board and having a good explanation about what others talk about or refer to is helpful. I didn't understand about the bottom feed reference until I saw an actual photo attached with a post. I'm very glad someone took the time to do that.

Now I'm less confused. Probably will never get one but who knows? I love my 5.1 volt PC pass through (awesome vapor) when sitting at the PC, and my Inferno (awesome vapor but the refilling is tiresome)- but I wouldn't take the Inferno out in public. Still, because of the constant refilling I could see myself getting a bottom feeder on down the line for use at home just for convenience. I've already cut down to the low nicotine mg solutions and do think I like vaping too much but I don't think switching to a bottom feed would cause me to vape any more or less, I think I'm gonna vape what I'm gonna vape and what I'm doing influences that more than the type of hardware I'm using.

Just another plug for the bottom feeders. If you seek a fresh dripped taste without the hassle, they really are the way to go.

For those worried about vaping in public with a box mod, just do the following. Ya got someone staring at you mid-vape? Just stick the box up to your ear like its a cell phone and yell something along the lines of "WELL THAT JUST FUMES MY ASSS" while letting out a huge cloud. They won't know what to think.

My only issue with the logic of mods is that i am very confident that at least 75% of the addiction to smoking is the act of smoking for most. I could hook up the garden hose filled with perfect vape hits all day/every day. Would it work for me? No. It isn't the "act" of smoking and would resolve nothing for me personally.

People may disagree with me on this issue, but mods are designed for those that are addicted to vaping - and NOT for those addicted to analogs - for that exact reason. They address at best 25% of the addiction to smoking. They are a fringe product for those that love the act of vaping regardless of how great they can make the vape - and will always be such. Always as in meaning forever.

Confusing newbs with the mod stuff is not a great idea, in my estimation.

I have to agree with this. I am a complete and utter newb..... and right now basically I am in learning stage of 101 vaping. Mostly, I am as a newb interested in the baby steps of finding what is compatable with my blu I can try, not shelling out tons of cash on something that is (for all intents and purposes) foreign to me.

I DO appreciate the info, but on the newb forum I think most trying it out or just starting should be geared toward an affordable (and easily replaceable) 510 kit.

Though mods look super sweet, its sort of like giving a 16 year old with a new drivers license a Ferrari!

The mini form factor worked for me in the beginning. I've been vaping 100% for a little while now and they've helped me overcome the ritual of holding and lighting a cylinder. But I don't even hold my mini like a cigarette anymore - something my husband pointed out the other day. He said I held it like a pipe.

Vaping for me now is about addressing the draw and the throat hit and the limitations of the mini cig frustrate me to the extent they could send me back to anaolgs.

Those limitations are: short battery life, refilling/replacing cartomizers throughout the day, inconsistent throat hit & vapor production.

At this stage a mod makes perfect sense to me but to someone else they're a wackadoodle idea. I'm glad to have stuck with the mini through sneaking anaolgs and 100% vaping because now I know exactly what I want. I want a consistent experience every time I take a hit off my personal vaporizer and not to have to do the condom refill dance ever again. I don't care if the device(s) that provide these things look like cigarettes because I don't need to duplicate that experience anymore.

Am I worried I'll become addicted to vaping? No, because vaping will always be way more work than smoking and I'm relatively lazy but I am worried I'll amass a huge collection of mods that'll be hard to justify. :)

Ditto!

Less than 2 months into e-cig vaping, I knew if I couldn't find a better nicotine/vapor delivery system (battery life & not diddling with juice refills all day long), there was absolutely no way I could stick with it.

That's when I found ECF and research here lead me to the juice box mod. It's saved me from going back to cigarettes, which I'd been addicted to for 45 years.

My only regret is that I didn't know about this option from the get-go, because it would have saved me a bunch of money in the long run.

Hey Nan - Which bottom feeder did you finally end up with?
