More convincing.
Here are a tiny fraction of the scratches, nicks and gouges on Tristan. Doesn't look too bad though...

Now if I ever want it fixed up I can send it to Super-T with $5 return shipping and it'll come back perfect. But if I were to send it off to some bozo and have it polished, I'd void that warranty: I'm on my own.

Since a ShockWave is my daily driver (it's a beautiful life indeed) I tend to take it for granted. This morning was one of those mornings where it piped up and said "Gimme some love". Its button hole had become so cruddy the button would sink in and stick down, firing away. I located snork's ShockWave Delrin Puller and performed some Q-Tip & alcohol sanitizing on the bits, it's happy happy now.

Yeah, and the Shockwave had ten times the machine time into it then those mods, so its a "bargain" if you can call it that...lol.

Im sure its been asked over and over, but do you think you will ever make a mini shockwave? You, know, like an 18650 or even extra mini in a 18500/49 ? 23mm in diameter? It would be an amazing beauty.

I would totally go for that, and pay whatever it takes :p

Not me.....I prefer the 100% mechanical design of the P+/ELA........

Despite the couple of wires and kick, it's still technically a mechanical. I agree with the sentiment though - I can't say that an 18650 'Shockwave' has any appeal to me. Wider != gooder, and it would be awkward for me to adjust to a side switch again. But I'm so enamored of my P+18500 that I chose not to purchase an ELA (and am still comfortable with that decision).

If you don't need a telescoping PV or an adjustable center post, and like a 20mm PV, then I can say the ELA is not necessarily better than the Precise Plus line.

Besides the heavier build(tube wall thickness)the reason I like the ELA so much is that I always use a Kick/Kick2 when I vape and the ELA was made for that...Smooth tube walls when inserting(no threads to tear up the plastic casing) plus the Kick stays in when removing the battery...The P+ is not Kick friendly.......other then that the P+ is a great device.......

P+ is kick friendly - you just need a kiklet. Made my experience with the kick a lot better.

Kicklet adds to much length for my taste....My ELA/Kicked experience is that is always fires with a Kick unlike my P+ or Kicked Shockwave which had a lot of Kick misfires .......

Its been too long since someone has posted in this thread. So I'll break the ice and brag a little :) I'm really glad I didn't send my satin Shockwave off to get polished. He's got a new polished brother coming on Friday :) what's better than a Shockwave?... Fraternal twin Shockwaves!! On a lighter note, I picked up an ELA and that thing is also an amazing piece of work!

I guess I should admit I dropped my Shockwave on the driveway the other day ...

First mod I have EVER dropped outside the house. (I did fall with one in my hand once, but that doesn't count)
It landed on the end, so now after a bit of light sanding/buffing I have a very small dimple on the very bottom ring around the "T".
Excellent "identifying mark" if ever needed. :D

I was just talking the other day about how often I used to drop my Provari when I first started vaping. It seemed to be about 5 times a week. I'd drop it pulling it out of my pocket, forget it was on my lap and jump out of the car, and occasionally just drop it for no good reason. That was a great mod for breaking me in. I don't think I've dropped a mod in almost a year (actually knocking on wood) now attys, that's a different story, but its usually on the carpet while working on them.
