I'm quite sure the ZAU will fit, Ob :) Glad to see you here. I think the satin SW would work best with the ZAU. Even if the finishes were slightly different satin colors or textures, I think it would still be a better option than a satin ZAU and a polished SW :2c:
anyone have a idea if the z-atty's will fit on these?

also, if the finish will match the polished or the satin better?

It's funny. I sent a pm to him asking to change it to shinny :)

The shinny one looks nice.

So, David, could we get an estimate on when these will start being produced, being shipped, and how many will go out per day? Or even an estimate of when you'll be providing us an estimate?

I dont' have a timeframe per se, but i can tell you i have given the shop that did the quote on the bodies the green light to manufacture the bodies so we are full steam ahead with production!

anyone know the best way to get a message to david about a change on the order? I have pm'ed

Email him at supertmanufacturing@yahoo.com. Put Shockwave Order Change in the subject line. It may take a few days for him to get back to you, but this is the suggested method for Shockwave order changes.

See below:

Update:

Good news and bad news. Good news, we've found another shop to make the body part! Bad news, they can only make non slotted, they just don't think its feasible to make the slotted version due to the flexing/distortion of the body due to the large slots. I'm so sorry about this guys/gals, i really wanted it happen:(

Due to the cost of manufacturing the unit, which with the estimates we have received so far, will exceed 200.00 each, we have decided to make it a limited run. We have approximately 25 preorder units left, so if you are on the fence, best act fast!

Those who ordered slotted and are willing to switch to non-slotted, please advise via email, supertmanufacturing@yahoo.com, with the topic heading "Shockwave order change" Please list your name and/or order number and that you are willing to switch to non-slotted. Do not PM me with your change, email only. Those not wanting to change can receive a full refund, no questions asked, email to the same address above.

For those not aware, these are pics of the final non-slotted Shockwave that are going into production:

Lower body vent detail. 4 equally spaced vents:

Top Cap lower end view.

Shows the spring loaded plunger which makes for no exposed springs to lose and exerts constant pressure on the battery for reliable electrical connection. Note, all pieces of the spring loaded plunger will be Rhodium plated in the production version. A total of 5 parts of the Shockwave are Rhodium Plated

Also note the "D" shaped machining (not round) to securely hold and align the switch pod:

Removable Switch Pod. Contains the user replaceable Snap action mechanical switch, a high amperage version (10amp) of the same switch used in many mouses due to their extreme durability and life and also houses the Spring Loaded Plunger:

Top Cap Juice Well View. Production versions will have Rhodium plated Center Post.

Will accept the universal fit Strata rebuildable as well as most all others tanks/rebuildables.

Note machined relief and indexed air flow channels for problem tanks/rebuildables:

Top Cap inside view, switch pod removed.

Gun Drilled for maximum weight savings which can allow the Stainless Steel Shockwave to weigh less then an Aluminum 26650 mod:
