What FT Kayfun parts would you suggest picking up? I'd love a top fill cap and maybe a bigger tank but anything useful you could think of would be appreciated.

I'd def get a Quartz glass kit so you get full visibility and no juice reaction. Nano kits are my fav for small on the go set ups. There are a few top fill cap options... Expensive ones or clones from China. There are really a ton of Kayfun parts out there.

can I place the wicks on top of the deck like kayfun or do I have to stuff them in the channels as the fogger?

It's kinda in between. The build is very Kayfun... But picture the huge juice channels as the edges of the Kayfun deck... You just tuck the end tips of the wisk into the larger, top portions of the juice channels. Not all the way down... Just the chamfered out too edge.

Where can I find the BEST Nano kit? There are so many to choose from. I ordered some FT Nano clones for $14-18 ea. (FT SKU 1988100 & 1976601) I've seen other kits for $45. It's impossible to know what to choose.

Ok I have a HUGE issue with this thing, please let me know if any of you got it too.
The white plastic around the positive pin start to melt, it's totally bubbling when I fire the atty at 30-35W and gives me a burnt plastic flavor.

Of course I stopped using it and contacted Vapor DNA, it looks VERY dangerous to me, but I'd love to know how's your unit behaves.

Many thanks!

....! That was the one thing i was worried about. I have't had any issues so far but the lowest i've went and where i am now is at .50ohm unregulated. Was that during dry fire? If that happened when fully wicked/juiced... that is some .... that MUST be fixed and replacement insulators sent out to all current owners!

So I've got two big issues with the Silverplay. One of which makes this RTA unusable for me. As stated above, the insulator does show signs of heat deterioration when dry firing checking for unilateral heating. Let me say that this RTA is 98% great quality, smooth threading, fits together very nicely, and has great airflow as promised. Keep in mind I have not been able to actually use this device yet. MINE came with misaligned positive post holes, or hole (singular) actually. Which made it unusable, due to one of the post holes being too far down the post to properly seat the positive leg of one of my coils with the screws given. I even tried doubling back the leg that would go into the post, hoping that adding to the diameter of kanthal would help, which it didn't.

I have left a message with VaporDNA in hopes of a replacement or refund. Hopefuly find out tomorrow.

How did this happen? We're your coils too low and touching the plastic?

That's happened to me with peek insulators when dry firing. I know there isn't a lot of build room on the deck but if you keep the coil at least 1.5mm away from the insulator you should be fine. Unless of course your building fat 24g over a 3mm mandrel. Then it would be hard to get good spacing unless you run a very high coil. 26g, 2.5mm mandrel works for me. I wasn't quite sold on this thing Friday night but now I'm happy. I had a fill hole that wasn't quite drilled out so I fixed that and my second build was the charm. Great wicking, no leaks, really good flavor and vapor production. Now I just need to get some better tank options.

26g 8 wraps 2.4mm ID. The coils almost touched the chimney tube. Couldn't get them further and honestly it looked far enough from the insulator. I think most of the melt happened with the wicks in. I opened it because of the plastic taste and only dry fired it few times for a second (mostly to make sure they glow evenly).

I built bunch of kayfuns, russians, aqua and fogger and never experienced this issue before.

That's the exact build i did and i dry fired the hell out of mine only to then think "...., i could have melted the heck out of the insulator!".

So far so good but i'm going to look at taking it apart and cutting the pointless ends of the circle off and make it more of a square Kayfun style insulator... if possible.

Really enjoying my Silverplay at the moment (although to be fair, I really should be saying "really enjoying my Silverplay deck + chimney base"). I ran through a few tanks with its stock setup and was unimpressed with the tank parts, but loved the vape production and convenience of not having to drip to get this level of performance. The stock tank itself is clunky, with poor fit and finish (mine had the same problem with glass not being large enough, resulting in it sitting off center all the time after tightening down). But when I slapped on the top parts from my old KFL+ clone, it was like night and day. Better juice capacity, and easier to fill since the thick tank walls weren't choking down the fill port as badly. I barely notice the narrower chimney, if at all. At the suggestion of earlier posts in here, I've ordered a quartz kit and top fill cap from FT, and look forward to the completed setup.

It would be nice if the stock tank parts were good enough to not make me feel like I had to swap out parts, but the compatibility with Kayfun parts makes it so I don't mind all that bad. I was on the fence between the Goblin and the Silverplay, and I think I am glad that I went Silverplay - the larger build deck and ability to custom out my tank are great.

You all had me worried that my insulator (parts breakdown calls it "Teflon gasket") was melting, so I opened it up for inspection. Here is my deck. I've been vaping non-stop for past 4 days on these coils. I quickly gave it a wash.

They are fine. The coils were raised high enough.

I do however have a similar issue, wizard27. Although my holes are not misaligned, I think they are just a hair too low. When I screwed down the pos wires, I couldn't tell whether if the screw bottomed out or 'topped out'. Just to make sure, I used a longer screw in one of the pos holes. It's a poor execution of a great design/concept.

I swear I must be hallucinating. I go to check my juice level after 30 minutes, while I'm not even vaping much, and it is near bone dry. I put about 1mL of juice in it then flip it over, and it is nearly full. I've repeated this process 3 times in the past 6 hours. I know this thing is a juice monster, but there's no way I've went through double my intake in a third of the time. I'm kinda confused.

It's an airpocket. There isn't as much juice in there as you think. I've come to notice that when filling, if I pause when it looks full and cover the hole with my thumb and flip it right side up then upside down a couple of times, I can fit another 1.5 ml or so.
